I actually was not aware! But thanks for the info. Your panels look nice. I assume they are also CANbus based systems so can be plug-n-play with the rest of the original EIM system. I was surprised how many boat mfgs use basically the same single source for their systems. A search of...
Following! I just replaced mine last week with fpmarine also. 2005 320DA My port panel is good, starboard is junk, both EIMs good. No idea how much $$ to ask, but was thinking to list on ebay.
Day 2 - remove more stuff, run wires, install new breakers, plug everything together. Works! I still need to fasten the new switch panels to the dash, lots of cleanup, etc. But very happy I'll be back on the water soon.
Quick update: I received everything from fpmarine on monday. 1hr to unpack, check everything out, read instructions. Decided to do some work that night, 2 more hours to cut up my old dash, remove the EIM in the helm. Today was victory! 4 more hours, ran the primary harness from helm to...
OK, so I pulled the trigger just now and ordered the fpmarine EIM replacement. Can't wait to get this installed and back on the water! Decided it was not worth trying to fix the existing system, it will eventually break again anyway, not worth the risk. I will post a new thread once install...
2nd that choke recommendation. Also, I removed my carb and did a thorough cleaning, replaced the fuel filter also. My plugs were fine (as I recall). Carb was the main issue for me. Easy enough to remove and clean it all up with carb cleaner.
Yes, I check there maybe once a week or so, no luck. I'm looking more and more like I'll cough up the $$ for the fp marine replacement and get it over with.
OK, so now I'm talking to myself. But someone else hopefully will benefit from this thread. I continued to take the circuit board apart, removing the plastic backing. It was in tough shape and mostly destroyed in removal. It will go back on, but it's got a few cracks and some missing areas...
Hey all - I see many people viewing the post (thanks!). No suggestions as to where to find a new or used part, which is sort of what I expected. Long shot, but figured I'd ask here!
So, started having some fun with the switch panel, took it apart, borrowed a friend's digital oscilloscope...
Hi all, I'm hoping to locate a used dash switch module, starboard side, for my 2005 320DA. My part number is 1718618, and I believe 1810626 is a correct replacement part also (and I would swap the black trim for my wood trim).
I'm aware of the FP marine upgrade, just too pricey for me right...
Here's the part:

(seems image embedding may not have worked for me? Above link will work for those who are curious)
Think I've found the issue. In the engine room, there is a 100amp breaker which is fine, but no power going into or out of it. Upstream there is a relay or solenoid that feeds this relay. I can hear (I think) this part click, but no power comes out of it no matter which way I toggle it...
So it looks like I should be able to verify (no) power going to the control module up front in the windlass locker. If that has power, it seems the foot buttons should at least work. If that has no power, must be a fuse or breaker or bad wire (not likely).
Owners manual section 6.12 indicates "windlass breaker (with option)" - didn't notice that or try and look for it when checking the main breakers in E.R. I will check that, would be nice if thats all it is!
Good morning all - I seem to have an anchor electrical issue with my 2006 320DA. Seems I cannot operate it from the helm nor from the foot switches by the anchor. No helm light on when I press the anchor power button. No blown fuses, no tripped breakers.
So, what should I be checking?
I have the exact boat as you. I experience the same RPM vs trim. Maybe a little better but I'm on salt water all the time. I've got used to running at 4000 RPMs with a full load (4 people, 200 gal fuel, full water, luggage for weekend, etc). We really over pack in my family for some reason...
Unfortunately I do not know when the last time the water separator filter was changed. So not a good answer. I've already spoken with the marina mechanic and I am planning to do all fuel-related filters, and a bunch of other preventative maintenance items when the boat is pulled out, probably...
