My boat is freshwater only. I was winterizing today and noticed this streak of crud on my hull where the water line would be. I'm not sure what causes this, but it is hard to the touch and almost glued on. Any advice on removing it?

Not sure about the size, but it is a Mercury Vengeance prop that came on the boat. It is a 3 blade, and I think it is 19 pitch.

Mine starts like a car/truck. Within one turn, it fires up. The only time it turns over more than that is on cold start up.

Mine runs 175 on a hot day and around 170 on a cool day. Not sure what temp thermostat it has in it.

Hole shot could also have a lot to do with the size/type of prop. My boat prop is not awesome out of the hole, but it has a good balance between holeshot and top end. Once again, it's a compromise.

My 210 has the factory snap in carpet, but it's a 1998. Makes a big difference to your feet on a hot day.

If your boat is in good shape, you got a deal at $10.5K. For the OP, mine is a 210BR, 5.0 EFI (TBI) with Alpha 1, and I have never had any issues with power.

I would try a different prop first to determine if that's the issue. Mine runs 48 - 49 mph @ 4800 rpm wide open throttle. It has a 3 blade Mercury Vengeance SS prop. Boat info above.
