I wanted to share the camper/eisenglass enclosure I got for my 220 OB. It was fantastic! I went out on SF bay on a windy/choppy day and didn't get a drop on me.
Coupled with the bow cover, I kept the salt water pretty much completely out of the boat!
That is their yacht center. I was specifically told that my boat could not be worked on there. And that maybe that would change in the future.
So, nope, no dealer in the SF bay area for us mortals without yachts.
This.
My brand spanking new 2014 had a few issues. Non-working speedo, a bunch of loose screws under the helm, the center door wouldn't stay open, a broken bimini attachment, the drain from around the counsel had no exit and drained right on the electronics, etc.... There were, what seemed...
As the OP touched upon getting rid of custom project cars and replacing them, I was almost to tears when I traded in my vette which I spent so much time and money on upgrading it.
Its funny, even the very nice new car I purchased couldn't quite cure the sting. The best part of it all is no...
No disrespect to LEO's here, but most cops are bullies.
The job necessarily makes you so.
No one is happy to see you. Yeah I can think of times that I would want a cop around, but it just never happens.
They have to deal with being despised every day! Ofcourse, I'd become a bully too...
Well, I bought my Sea Ray because it is such a robust boat, it was off to the San Francisco Bay with my boat!
There were 3-4 foot seas around the Golden Gate and Alcatraz and the Sea Ray took it without any problem. We got a little wet, but that's boating baby! LOL! :smt038
I'll share some...
Yes, I saw this hole and I tried a long 1/16" drill bit. Nothing came out and the Speedo kept on not working. :smt009
As will be explained in a little bit, I actually don't think that the pitot hole/tube is the culprit.
And as promised, the install of the perfect pass GPS speedo. If you want...
It is intuitive how sensitive a pitot tube sensitivy can be in water. I get that. But it seems like gps is pretty much ubiquitous and costs really are not prohibitive anymore. It seems like a Luxury/premium brand like Sea Ray would take nothing less than dependable and rugged gauges. Sigh.
The...
It looks like only my tach is a mastercraft gauge and I don't see anything that looks like a GPS under or around my gauges. And after doing much research and my sales guy from the start saying boat speedo's suck (Really Sea Ray? An $80,000 dollar boat with a non working speedo?) I just went...
I haven't seen any posts of a 2014 220 Sundeck outboard, so let me be the first! I launched last weekend and I'm going out again tomorrow!
My bimini top bracket broke on my first drive home and my speedo doesn't work. But, hey welcome to boaterhood right?! I'm loving it! And so is my dog!
I'm a still very wet behind the ears boater, but I'll chime in.
I went with a 220 as I didn't want a heavier boat to tow or pay more at every fill up for the bigger tank.
As you won't be towing, those aren't factors for you.
After having my first boat for 1 week, today, I wouldn't hesitate...
I have the faux teak on my swim platforms on my 2014 220 sundeck. They sure are good looking.
Here are the pics from the dealer.

Also, the optioned snap in carpet seems to be great! It got soaked on the ride home and I just...
