Does anyone know the make/model of this boat? It was docked at a restaurant on our lake last week. Sweet boat - love the matte paint - but there weren't any markings to indicated the brand.
Does anyone know how to remove this type of steering wheel hub? I bought a new steering wheel and was surprised to see this when I took the old one off. The new wheel will fit the keyed shaft but this hub won't budge.
Does anyone know if it's possible to retrofit a pre-2004 Merc engine with SmartCraft? If so, what's involved? After reading the VesselView thread, I'd like to figure out how to get SC on my '97 Merc engine...
Here's your chance to own a piece of boating history. Rodney Dangerfield's boat, Seafood, from Caddyshack is for sale. This is the actual boat used in the movie and it looks like it's been well used over the years. She sure looks shiny in the movie...
Being a Minnesotan this hits especially hard.... whether you liked his music or not, you can't deny he was a musical genius and an enormous talent.

I brought my boat in this week for some spring maintenance - new starter, trailer maintenance, etc. When I purchased the boat last spring I trusted my gut and didn't have them do a compression test...it looked, sounded and ran great. I started to see a little bit of black smoke from the exhaust...
I posted details of my misadventure in a different thread.... http://clubsearay.com/showthread.php/67647-Mistakes-serving-as-a-warning-to-others?p=837604&highlight=#post837604
I dodged a major bullet...the boat has been running great all week. Here's the short version of the story... ran...
I pulled my prop tonight to get some dings repaired and I noticed something in the driveshaft housing that I can't identify and wondering if anyone can tell me what it could possibly be.
It looks to be like dried foam or a dried out chunk of gasket but I can't really tell and I don't want to...
Boating World Magazine drag raced two 220SD's...the new MerCruiser 250 hp 4.5L V6 vs. the 5.0L 260 hp V8...both sterndrives. The huge margin with the V6 is interesting but I'd like to see the same test with the V6 against the 5.7L V8.

The captain of the late Steve Jobs' yacht has some skills....here's a cool drone video of him threading a needle through the Simpson Bay Bridge in St. Maarten. Jobs' wife has been getting quite a bit of use out of the yacht lately...like it or hate it, it's a remarkable vessel...
I posted this in the spring fever thread but I can't contain my excitement so I'm starting a new thread to share with everyone. I think my hobby is turning into an obsession if not an addiction. At this exact time last year I found a mint 1997 Cobalt 200 that was being offered for a steal of a...
I just finished painting my Bravo III drive and I thought I would post some before, during and after pics for those interested in taking on the task. I'm no pro but I wanted to show those who might feel intimidated just how easy it is.
The reason for doing this now is that I chipped the tip...
Looking for advice from the electrical experts on adding a 2nd battery... I want to add an AGM to use while on the hook and to connect my new audio system to and I will use the wet-cell as my starting battery. In the picture below I am planning to place the new battery on the port side to...
Ok, now that I am a Cobalt owner I promise not to infect the waters here and make all my posts about the enemy but......
I was on their website and on the Employment page it says: COBALT IS GROWING! We're expanding our current product line and entering the pontoon boat segment...
....I love it! I was boat-less for 1 1/2 seasons and it was a long, dark time away from the water. I found this Cobalt over the winter and I finally brought her home today. It's a '97 but it is absolutely mint and I got it for a steal....it's like it was locked in a vault. Can't wait to get...
Louis C.K. takes Jerry Seinfeld out on his boat in this episode of Seinfeld's web series "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee". Louis has some funny stories about his boating and I could relate to his comments about his kids at around the 8:40 mark.....I'm sure we've all been there while docking...
I wonder what the story is with this video....it apparently happened on the Potomac a few days ago. Can't tell for sure but it looks maybe like a Sea Ray that got hit??? Is that a 270DA???
That crunch is painful....
