Standard Horizon 1700 with the built in gps.
I did also. It was installed over the winter. I'll let you know how it works as soon as my boat gets unwrapped and into the water. Hopefully by the end of the month
We got married at the Flying Bridge this past September. I'm over at Green Pond Marina (on the inside with the small boats).
The captain we hired showed us some spots (Lake Tashmoo, Lamberts Cove, Hadley Cove, Oaks Bluff, Waquoit Bay, etc.) I'm looking forward to exploring these and more next...
I was diagnosed in March as "pre-diabetic" . I'm not exactly sure what that means. My non-fasting blood sugar at my annual physical was 120. my internist put me on 500mg of Metformin twice a day. I haven't been back since, but I have been trying to watch my sugar intake and get to the gym for...
Wish I could say I was as mature as I made it seem in my first post, but I too was very skeptical about hiring a captain and if the Admiral had not sought out a captain from others on our dock and actually made the call and set up the first appointment, I would have never done it on my own. And...
I've been on the site for a number of years lurking and learning, but I don't believe I ever updated my situation when I finally took the plunge and bought my 240 Sundancer this summer.
Well in July 2016 I found exactly what I've been looking for, a 2006 240 Sundancer with only 350 hrs in...
I also had the intermittent alarm. At idle my water pressure showed 0.00 and the alarm went off, at speed the pressure would go up and once it reached approx. 2.0psi the alarm would go off. The engine never went into limp mode. Haven't had it fixed yet, but my mechanic immediately said it would...
I just had the same thing happen. Underway the pressure comes up and shuts off the alarm, at idle the pressure drops to 0 but temp stays normal. My mechanic says that sand/silt can get in the water pressure sensor and clog it giving a low or no reading setting off the alarm, common occurrence...
The original VHF radio on my 2006 Sundancer is dead. The pins have broken off and are all bent. I'd like to mount a new VHF radio just above the old one on the dash. Has anyone done this? Can you unplug the power source and antenna through the fuse bay and reuse them for the new radio?
Any...
Hi All,
Just purchased a new to me 2006 Sundancer. So far doing great!! I just have a couple of questions.
I can't figure out how to hold the cabin hatch open just a bit. I've played with the two bars with some sort of screws. but that didn't seem to work. Can the hatch be set open just a...
Around here that sounds a little low. I've been looking at 240 Sundancers - 2004 -2006 and they run $28K - 35K depending on accessories, condition and hrs.
More pictures will follow soon, Not much room on the price. Please price out a new one before any questions about this boat. Its $130,000+ without the option of the 425HP motor. Price is $42,000
Dino, do you have any idea what you would sell your boat for? I'm seriously starting to look for my first boat and I'm definitely looking in the 24-28ft. range, so yours would fall right in the middle. I will be keeping it in Falmouth on the Cape.
Let me know if you actually get to that point...
AH HA...learning alredy. Is there anyway to check for this? Are the Bravo III outdrives more suseptible to corrosion from stray current or will it eat my zincs faster?
Thanks AFD. Eel pond is down in Woods Hole if I recall. I'm looking further east at Green Pond Marina/yacht club ( again not really a pond as it is salt water).
I didn't get a chance to look this weekend, but I think I need to do the boat and marina at the same time. I could explore the idea of...
Thanks All, I have been spending more time looking at boats than where to keep it. It's much more fun to look at boats, but I think I'll swing by the local marinas this weekend and get a feel for what next season is looking like for space and prices.
Is there anyone here that boats in the upper...
I've looked at Boat Trader and there are a number of 24ft Searays under $30K and a couple of 260's. within a 100 miles od the Cape. I agree, that to go to a 270 or 280 in that year range I will probably be closer to $35-$40K.
Regarding the availability of moorings or slips , I do know that...
