    Official 280 Sundancer Thread

Some recent chatter about SeaDeck flooring in the cockpit made me go a little further. I have a 2001 280DA and have thought about replacing the carpeting in the cabin. We love the boat and it's in great mechanical condition, would just like to dress up the interior. Has anybody attempted a...

I heard you have to sand the finish off the fiberglass before that stuff will adhere. Any idea on the prep involved prior to installation?

Yes there is. I have a 2001 280 and each porthole has three tabs to lock the window. At the end of the tab, away from the pivot, there is a very small set screw that can be tightened. It applies pressure to the window when you close the tab. Go easy, maybe a quarter turn at a time, until the...

Cuins, I have a 2001 280 which I believe has the same design. First, make sure you fold the legs and snap them into the retaining clips under the seat before you try to fold it down. You'll note the bottom inch or so of the legs are hinged and when folded, that last inch will set into those...

My 2001 has the swivel lights that appear to be two pieces, separated by a gold trim. Mine DO NOT come apart there. The clear plastic shield DOES come off and then you pull the bulb out from the front. Hold the light firmly and slip your finger behind the clear plastic. Pull gently and it...

Just purchased a 2001 280 and during inspection found the sliding window above the aft berth to be very hard to slide. Any recommendations for the right lube? Silicone spray? Thanks

Right lube for sticky sliding window

Hi All, Just purchased a 2001 280 and while going through an inspection, found the small sliding window in the aft berth is very tough to slide. Would anyone recommend silicon spray or something else? Thanks!
