I haven 2002 320 with a westerbeke generator. When I fire up the generator everything works immediately except for the microwave. This may be a silly question but is there some sort of delay to protect the generator from a heavy load before it warms up? It seems I have to wait a few minutes or...

I spen a lot of time on the hook and only run generator to recharge. Just wondering what is best set up within reasonable price. Do group 31's have substantially more capacity than 27's when comparing apples to apples?

Looking at replacing my bank of 4 group 27 flooded batteries and was wondering if it is worth it to spend the extra on AGM batteries. Also would I have to upgrade alternators and charger or can you use the same charging system as a regular flooded type battery? Thanks for any help

Very useful information, especially about anchoring. Lake St. Clair has so many anchoring options we do it most weekends, but in unfamiliar territory (and much more open lake) I don't want to be sorry. Our trip will be during the week as to avoid peak times at CP and PIB. thanks guys

our plan would be to spend a couple days at CP then a few days of both island stops and on the hook. We will bring our dinghy and would explore as well, nothing set in stone most likely go with the flow at the time. Which is why I was looking for some input to make the most of our time, thanks
