Current boat is a 2001 Sundancer 290 with twin 5 liter bravo 3's. All the other good stuff like generator, heat and air, vacu-flush head, hot water, etc, etc. Great weekend boat.
I want to move up to something in the 45 foot range that would qualify as a liveaboard. Not looking for a...
Not sure about the generator options for a 240. I have a 290 with 5KW Kohler generator. It has a closed cooling system that utilizes a heat exchanger. Raw water comes in thru an inlet in bottom of hull, runs thru the heat exchanger and discharges (along with the exhaust) out the side of hull...
My 290 Sundancer has the same problem. My mechanic wants to replace the cables going to the outdrive, which I am in agreement with.

How the generator shuts down can tell you a lot...
2000SR380 said it so well! I think I will will go find him next time I am in CA. I used an awesome broker who found me a pristine 2001 Sundancer 290. I paid a terrific Surveyor to go over the boat with a fine tooth comb - he found some things that the seller fixed as part of the deal. Then I...
The previous owner of my Sundancer 290 (deceased) installed commercial truck batteries rather than deep cycle marine batteries. Any ideas why? Advantage / Disadvantage? I would think deep cycle marine would be a better choice for managing the "house" loads.
So I am only a year late answering you. Actually, I just found this website and did a search on Wilmington, NC looking for other SeaRay Owners. We are docked at Scotts Hill Marina and interested in meeting others in the area. Perhaps a raft-up one weekend somewhere along the New Hanover...
