Bill, I am interested in the antennas. I broke the tip off mine when I raised the boat without lowering the antenna.
If you find someone that needs the radio and not the antenna's perhaps we can make a deal.
Thanks,
Jerry
We are planning a trip from Flagler Beach (Mile 815) to Merritt Island (Mile 895?) and crossing the Canaveral Barge Canal to the Bananna River. I am looking for information about the trip via the Intracoastal. I have made the run outside before but that was not much fun - fast but not as much...
Hi Nick,
When approaching from the North the channel is much easier to navigate and you have a good view of Fort Matanzas as you approach. If is a short ride after you pass the no wake zone at Devil's Elbow.
It is a great place and I know you will enjoy the area.
If you are ever down...
The Matanzas Inlet area is beautiful with white sandy beaches and great places to anchor along the South Shore just past Fort Matanzas.
It is a lot like disappearing Island with fresh water, lots of friendly folks and one of the best anchor spots I have found anywhere.
When approaching...
I think that the difference is a lot more that 10-15K. I have a 2002 280 with 240 hours on it and I would sell it for $49K. That sounds like the 280 is a lot less.

Jim, I am having the same problem on my '02 280. I have black canvas and I am getting the same purple haze. I have started laying a beach towel across the back bolster but I still get the problem. When I take the canvas off and the sun hits it for a few days the problem is not as bad - it...
Thanks to those who responded. The problem turned out to be a loose ground wire on the slave solenoid on the top of the port engine.
Thanks Gerryb for the wiring diagram.
Jerry
Did you find your problem? I have the same problem on my 280 DA and I have not began to look for a solution. The hammer trick sounds like a good start.

I have a 2002 280 Sundancer with twin 4.3's and Alpha Drives. The port engine will not start. It will start if you jump the engine from the solenoid to the starter. When you press the rocker switch you get the warning signal but nothing happens when you press to start. We have checked the...
I can't believe how much I depend on my I-Phone. It gives me freedom to be in the boat or anywhere else and still conduct business via e-Mail.
I don't use the other features much - just to check business e-Mail and receive and make calls. It is a great phone.

My fuel gauge is stuck on "full" so I am not sure if I need a new gauge or if there is another problem. I have an 2002 280 Sundancer. Do you have any experience on these things going bad?
Thanks,
Jerry

Steve, I think that you are doing fantastic! I will check mine when I get back and see how we compare. My fuel guage is stuck on "full" so I need to do some work to see what is wrong.
Speaking of luck of the Irish - we are leaving for Ireland today for...
Do you have any idea where you are going to live? You may be closer to St. Augustine or Amelia Island than Jacksonville. Amelia has a beautiful Marina downtown but I don't know their monthly rates only their nightly - $1.75 per foot. St. Augustine City Marina is very nice as well. I just...
