Cummins Diesel QSC 8.3 oil pan leak

Any sense for what a repair job like this could or should cost?

Cummins Diesel QSC 8.3 oil pan leak

Three actual years but 600+ hours of engine time. We had the extended warranty too - but it expired in May. :(

Cummins Diesel QSC 8.3 oil pan leak

It's probably leaking about half a quart every ten hours. Maybe a little more. They didn't try to tighten when they did their spot check.

Cummins Diesel QSC 8.3 oil pan leak

Cummins came out and looked at our boat. We've got a bad oil leak in our port-side engine and it looks like the oil pan will have to be resealed. Ours is a 2014 Sundancer 510 and both engines are at around 610 hours. Still waiting on an estimate from Cummins but I'm curious to know if anyone...

Iris 205 Nightwatch Thermal Imaging Camera

I reached out to their US sales head and got a response within 24 hours. They're showing in Miami, I think. He wasn't showing at the Seattle Boat show (this week), unfortunately. According to Raymarine they and Flir will have new cameras introduced in Miami that are supposed to offer more...

Iris 205 Nightwatch Thermal Imaging Camera

Anyone have any experience with the IRIS205 Nightwatch Thermal Imaging Camera? http://www.boat-cameras.com/products/thermal-imaging/iris205-nightwatch/ I've been considering a Raymarine/Flir T200 (the winters are dark in Seattle - and we boat year-round). Just found this company and...

Sea Ray came through with great service

Lake Union Sea Ray in Seattle and Sea Ray corporate came through by replacing the material on our Captain's chair which had suffered unusual and premature wear after only three seasons. Just picked up the boat and the work that was performed looks great. Thanks to Sea Ray, Captain Rusty and the...

Three year old captain's chair not aging well

Important update: I heard back from both my dealer (Lake Union Sea Ray) and Sea Ray directly. The awesome news is that my dealer is coordinating directly with Sea Ray to have the seat coverings completely replaced. It remains a mystery to everyone why the damage occurred, but we're extremely...

Three year old captain's chair not aging well

We've never applied any cleaning materials to the seats. Hopefully we'll get to the bottom of this soon. I suspect our dealer Lake Union Sea Ray will also be responsive and work to correct the anomaly. I appreciate everyone's feedback on this.

Yeah, my wife and I are both disappointed. Thanks for the feedback. We will bring this up with our dealer.

Three year old captain's chair not aging well

No one cleans the interior - so no chemicals have ever been applied to the surfaces. Though, we have put 500 hours on the boat over three seasons. Still, I would have expected much better wear.

Three year old captain's chair not aging well

The boat is completely enclosed, but we do get a fair bit of sunshine in Seattle, despite our reputation. I had always assumed the seats were a nice leather, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

Three year old captain's chair not aging well

Any thoughts on what could be causing this to occur? And, should we reach out to Sea Ray? Seems odd that we should see this type of damage in our 2014 510 Sundancer, bought new just three summers ago. https://www.dropbox.com/s/85al080ce574yos/IMG_3479.JPG?dl=0...
