Ok, after I take the screw cover off on the outside, and then remove them screws, should I be able to remove the outside of it? The reason I’m asking is because I just got done redoing the entire of the cabin so I really don’t want to remove anything I don’t have to from the inside.
I have a 1990 7.4 motor in my dancer and I'm in need of replacing my exhaust flappers. Can anyone point me in the right direction, all the ones I find have an equal amount on each side of thst little rid that separates each side?
Mine has one side longer than the other.
I hope I finally tracked down the noise that's been coming from the starboard side of my motor, towards the rear and near the bottom. Can anyone tell me where I can get a set of these flappers, theyre not exactly centered.
Do me a favor and take a quick listen to the video. I am having some noise coming from the starboard part of the rear of the motor. This was taken with the drive removed to alleviate anything to do with the gimbal bearing or the coupler.

I was only able to locate 1 plug on each side down low. What I did was take them out, let all the water drain out, put them back in then I took the thermostat housing off and dumped nearly 4 full gallons into her. Should this be enough protection?
I recently purchased a 1990 250 sundancer and Ive noticed that if you leave the ignition switch on without turning over the motor that there is a warning buzzer that goes off until the ignition switch is turned off or the motor is started. I guess my question is is this just a friendly reminder...
I was looking in my owners manual and it stated that the converter uses 14 gauge wire. Im glad you said to NOT use home wiring because thats exactly what I planned on doing.
Thanks
Well, I recently purchased a 1990 250 sundancer from a Marina up in Bellaire MI called DeWitt Marine and I personally wish I would have never of got in contact with them idiots. All they are in the business for is to unload a boat on someone. After the sale there is absolutely no customer...
I will be installing a new converter on my dancer due to the fact that the previous owner must have taken the old one out and not replaced it. My question is what gauge wire should I use for it, 14 gauge?
Thanks
Gary
Ok guys, I'm in need of some assistance here. I'm trying to track down to see where my fuse panel is in my 1990 250 dancer, NOT the breaker panel. I'm assuming that there should be a fuse panel located somewhere due to the fact that when I purchased the boat a few months back there were some...
Ok guys, I have a 1990 250 dancer I recently purchased. I am in the need to install a battery charger (Converter) due to one of the previous owners removed it from the boat. Does anyone out there have a 250 dancer that could give me some insight into what the specs they have on their charger...
