Again, i think i know the answer here but want to bounce it off you guys. At the end of the '16 season while at cruising RPM (3350) very occasionally I would lose about 500-600 rpm my gauges and vessel view would lose contact with the starboard motor. The RPM loss was very quick, just a hiccup...
I think i know my fuel issue but want some confirmation. I dealt with it last year in the hopes i could change my plugs and get peak performance again as usual, but alas at the plug change still could not make WOT RPM (4100 is best i could do) and still had some significant trans rattle...
Came across this gem today on a facebook cruisers page. Hope there are no animals looking for kidney failure within a mile radius of this fella. I'd also like to meet the guy who told him this was ok.

Here's my first attempt at video editing. Mostly shot by my six year old son using a GoPro.

I really, really try and not knock on where the new designs of boats are going as that is what the market demands, but the new 40 dancer is an absolute turd. I was so out off by the looks I didn't even board it at the CIC boat show.

For some reason I cannot seem to find any threads with a descent write up on this procedure.
As part of the purchase of my boat three years ago I had it changed and then again at the end of 2014 when I blew my Portside trans.
This year I would like to do it myself. It seems pretty...
As the title states i just got my new eisenglass enclosure delivered. GLBT has packaged it very well and is neatly rolled up with foam sheets protecting the glass. DO you think it is ok to leave it rolled for the winter or should I take it out and lay it flat.
Just like every Friday i showed up to the boat to start washing and getting her ready for the weekend before the wife and kids show up. As i'm walking past the boat something feels different but not sure what. I dropped my bags off in the cabin and started to think about which chore to do...
For those of you with federally registered vessels how have you renewed your documents this year. I see there is a pay.gov option to pay, but not sure if I need to send in the document that was mailed to me as well. As we all know anything associated with the federal government is as clear as mud
This was unfortunately my dock neighbors father. From the sounds of it they were just out enjoying a cruise and he went overboard. Just a terrible accident. I'm glad they have found him so the family can have some closure. Please keep our friends in your thoughts...
What coolant is everyone using for their closed cooling on the 8.1S. We are leaving on a trip and I am crossing thing off my list that i need to take extra of.
Spent last weekend getting her ready to go for the season. Used 3M cleaner wax with good results. Will most likely hit some areas on the bow with a heavier compound later in the season. It's fine for now but just want a little more pop. Hull sides are great. First i'll show you the good...
I'm in the early stages of planning this trip and looking for suggestions.
Will be leaving from the Lake Erie Islands and want to head north for a couple of days. Will be a three day trip leaving on a Wednesday and returning on Friday of Fourth of July week. Any thoughts on a good marina that...
The day started out beautiful, Zero wind, and a great sunrise. A little haze but nothing to worry about.
About 8:30 we head to breakfast and by the time we walked out of the restaurant this had rolled in.
By 11:30 or so the fog had lifted and looked like it was going to be a...
I've been putting off writing this until I found out most of the details and what my course of action would be.
Over the labor day weekend we were headed out to the islands. As we came out of the channel and gave it throttle to get on plane, i had a serious vibration coming from my port side...
With all of the back and forth about forum etiquette as of late I want to take a step back and show what this forum is really all about... My NS-100 craptastic VHF radio took a dive earlier this summer and I was all but out of options. I was getting by using a handheld while I weighed my...
Over the long 4th of July week I took the opportunity to change my plugs to see if i could get to the cause of my port motor running rich and consuming 10-15% more fuel than the Starboard engine. As you can see I'm glad i did. Not sure when they were last changed, but boy did they need it...
