I am in the process of repairing the motor mount stringer of a 1984 SeaRay 197. It seems the motor mount was a 4x4 or 4x6 piece of wood surrounded by 2x8 pieces of wood. I could use some suggestions on how to best repair the motor mount stringers. I'm a newbie and would hate to tackle this...
