Well I have sold the boat! Got my asking price and now moving on. This forum really is a great place for information (giving and sharing), the people are fantastic and very helpful. We're not sure what our next toy will be, but for now we will concentrate on seeing the U.S. in our land yacht...
I'm selling my boat. A beautifully maintained 440 Sundancer. This is the one with the 420 Diamond series Cummins motors. You can see more details and pictures on http://www.yachtworld.com/boats/1994/Sea-Ray-Sundancer-440-2829793/Isleton/CA/United-States
Trust me, this is a great boat!! I...
Ken, where do you get your diesel? That price being close to a dollar less than at my Marina would make it worthwhile to go visit!
PS. Congrats on your Commodore status!
Ok, the dual trumpet air horns were functioning perfectly last week. One week later I go to sound my horn as I'm entering the fairway leaving my Marina and all I hear is a "ehhhhhhhhhh"! Actually the sound was more of a very rapid vibration with a slight swoosh noise from inside the cockpit...
The carbon/graphite ring assembly has two water injection ports. Both engines raw water cooling circuits are plumbed to each assembly. If for some reason you lose an engine, the other engine provides the necessary water flush.
I just installed the Lasdrop Gen ll seals. The quality of the manufacture and design in my opinion make these the superior seal. When you look at the dominant failure modes of the other designs, the Gen ll design does not fall into those groups. I like the ridged installation of the static...
No we haven't Shawn. We've been there a little over a year now, but our paths haven't crossed. We are down in "G" shed. I'll stop by a say hello next I see you there.
Just completed my off-season upgrade/repairs. They include:
1. Prop scan
2. Shaft(s) straightened
3. New cutlass bearings
4. New Lasdrop Gen II dripless shaft seals (They're aswesome!)
5. Rebuilt both raw water pumps
6. Full service oil and filter changes on all of the equipment
7. All...
It's not about removing the light, it's about how the base is attached to the bow and how to remove it... How are the studs affixed to the pulpit? Once I remove the nuts, will the studs fall loose into the pulpit where there is no access?
My searchlight on the very end of my bow pulpit has stopped working. I've read a number of threads on here with many good options in terms of repair/replacement. However, my question is how do I get this sucker off of the bow to work on it? It would seem that the best access is through the...
Just thought I'd pass on my best wishes for a great Thanksgiving day to everyone here on the West Coast regional forum! I actually want to wish everybody on the CSR forum best wishes. I've been a member now for exactly one year and I have gained so much knowledge and great advice from members...
Last year I installed a Powermania Turbo M430. Here is their ad copy:
Quad Bank | 30 Amp | 12/24/36/48V DC | Waterproof Onboard Charger
The Turbo M430 is one powerful tournament-grade charger. Its high power efficiency and consistent output brings four 12V batteries to their full charge in...
We've had our boat for one year next month and have put 230 hours on her. It is such a joy to boat with friends and family, we just can't let it sit in the slip!
Welcome Tim. When I joined, the group was very welcoming and quick to help/answer any questions (still are)! Lots of experience on this board, so you can't go wrong! We keep our boat at Oxbow marina. We often times will cruise to the Bay for a weekend and spend it at the Benicia harbor...
Ken, I use Delta Marine in Stockton and J&H does all the mechanical work.
I recall a thread on here about increasing the size of the tabs. I plan on increasing the size to utilize all of the space between the prop pockets and the chine of the hull. And as long as the boat is out of the water...
Well we had a great day on the bay for fleet week! We anchored 300 feet south of Alcatraz which was the north boundary of the exclusion zone for the Blue Angels. Had an awesome view of the air shows and an even better view of the huge number of boats with obviously varied levels of...
We'll be spending the weekend at the Benicia harbor and venturing out from there. I was thinking the north/east corner of Alcatraz also. Just have to stay out of the ferries(s) way and be vigilant!
