Thanks for your reply. I did not replace the gaskets on the drain plugs. I left the original gaskets in place. Could this present a problem?

Changed the gear lube on my Bravo 3 several weeks ago. When I was done the reservoir was full but after running the engine for several hours the level in reservoir is down about an inch. Is that normal?

I have a 1998 Sea ray 280 Sunsport with a 7.4 mpi/Bravo 3 and the power steering is stiff in both directions. The mechanic replaced the actuator which made a slight improvement but it still seems to be operating a 50%. Any suggestions?

I am surprised that I am having this issue because the drive was completely rebuilt just one year ago for $4,300. I have used this shop before and thought that they were good. Now I am having second thoughts. I probably have only put 20 hours on the boat since the rebuild.

I am losing a significant amount of gear oil on my 1998 280 Sunsport with a 7.4 mpi Bravo 3 outdrive. It does not appear to be leaking in the bilge or in the water at the outdrive. Any help would be appreciated.
