I have a 97 330 with mpi 7.4s, one motor uses more fuel than the other. what manages the fuel - like an O2 sensor in a car? how does it know the air / fuel ratio? how do I make them match in consumption a little more? Both seem matching in rpm and "power" Thanks!

one of my 7.4 mpi's surges after I start it and what I mean is it slowly revs itself alittle, say from 1000 to 1200 - up and down... what is the cause of this? once its warm it goes away.... but Id like to fix whatever is causing this. These motors arre 97s, with 500 hrs, only one motor...

:huh: I have a bent pushrod in my 7.4 bluewater MPI mercruiser... What is / or could be, the cause of this damage? The pushrod is for the exhaust valve. second from the front.. The motor is a '97 -500 Hr, freshwater cooled big block. Any Ideas? Thanks!

I have had to have a cracked valve replaced /repaired on my inboard 350 mercruiser, and wonder if anyone has had similar, and what the final cost was...? These motors, 350 inboards, only have 40hrs and I wonder what the cause of the valve failure was... Im really just looking for guesses /...
