I cruise around 20mph at 2150 depending on sea conditions. Yes mechanical 6ctas. Not sure on gph.

Yes I have reservations as the boat has everything I want, EXCEPT the 3rd stateroom. The kids want to bring friends so lots of sleeping space is a must if they are to continue enjoying boating. Likely getting into a viking 50 or 53. But still TBD. If it doesn't sell I won't be totally bummed...

2004 Sea Ray 420 Sedan Bridge FS

A great boat we have thoroughly enjoyed, however we are moving to something a bit bigger, so she has gotta go. The boat has been meticulously maintained with over 100k spent on upgrades and maintenance since 2018. These includes a full Garmin electronics package (navigation/radar/GPS VHF), FLIR...

Thanks Irie and Aeo! Was indeed a clog (apparently guests ignoring my no flush speech) that became apparent once I got the gloves out. All is good after some prodding with the fish tape.

Well I think one of my vacuflush units (stbd master head) went. It's lit up green but no suction once the foot pedal is depressed, and no pumping at the accumulator tank in the engine room. It looks like this is in a real fun place to work if I can even get to it without removing the exhaust...

No it wasn't by choice but they were somewhat within their right. Ill fill you in another time. But she basically gave our slip away. After being there 11 years I was a bit perturbed at Mary to say the least. I would have left the marina if Jeff didn't step in and help. He is a great guy, and...

I had a Rinker 360 before this boat. The 420 is night and day better in sloppy seas. I have found myself in some nasty water where I was thankful to not be in my 360. With that said even 4 footers if they're close together in your face, will be a bad day.

Thx. I guess I'll have to turn the throttles up a bit... I also run at 80-90% tabs down. BTW if you hear of anyone in the area looking for a 10'4" Achilles RIB with 20hp newer Tohatsu lmk. We will be adding some more weight to the back as we just picked up a rigged 11.5' Achilles.

I feel like I run slow compared to most in my 420 with 450 mechanicals. On a good day I'm usually cruising around 18-20mph at 2150-2175 rpm. After tuning my props a couple seasons ago I lost about 1-2mph at matched rpm, but I did pickup 30-40rpm to hit 2700 at max. I do run pretty heavy usually...

    2017 Achilles 315DX inflatable and newer 2021 Tohatsu 20hp

Short shaft. Boat is 10'4". Fit nicely on both my 360 and 420 sedan bridge.

    2017 Achilles 315DX inflatable and newer 2021 Tohatsu 20hp

Has been a great tender. Well cared for. Used but in good condition particularly because its Hypalon. The Tohatsu gets this RIB to and from shore quick. I can pull my 14 year old on a tube on plane no problem. This setup would cost you $8700 at Defender today. Asking $4500. Original order. In...

Yes we did meet on Block if I recall. I'm at Mystic shipyard. Great info. I do have a sealift platform so should have no problem with hatch access. I probably could use some bigger trim tabs though once I put all that weight back there....

Does anyone successfully run with a 12' dinghy off of the stern of the boat? I'm wondering if it might be too wide where bouncing off pilings becomes an issue. Currently I run with a 10'6" achilles rib with 20hp short shaft Tohatsu in the fully upright position. I have about a foot it looks...

    oil pressure bouncing

I hope so. Lots of new goodies that should attract most buyers. This season with a pre teen and teen, has made it abundantly clear we would be happier with a 3rd bedroom. They say our slip is a 50', but it is not. I'm 49' with the extended hydraulic platform and i stick out a good few feet...

Onan diesel generator randomly shuts off

Being erratic like that with no other ill signs on the gauges (particularly temperature) sounds like a fuel issue to me. Change the filters and see what happens. I'm not sure how your battery is configured, but if it runs for two hours and shuts down, it is hard to imagine it is that, given you...

    oil pressure bouncing

We are lucky with all the great weekend spots we have around here! Enjoy. BTW, we may be putting our boat on the market as we have our eyes set on a Hatteras 52. Securing a slip before i make a decision is half my battle right now. But lmk if you hear of anyone local that may be interested...
