My old Lowrance X-51 took a 1" hole.
Put a new Garmin Fishfinder in this spring, did pretty much exactly what Midway described, hole was about in the same location. Never had a leak, the inside of the hull by the hole was still dusty from when I originally drilled it in 2002.
Had the same issue with my boat when I bought it 8 years ago. After a few years it would cough occasionaly when I hit the throttle. New carb fixed both problems.
That doesn't look very familiar, I can't think of any place on my boat that has all those snaps arranged like that.
FYI, 92-93 is a completely different boat. Our model was made from 94-96. In 96 they called it a 210, but it's the same thing.
As far as plugging the anchor locker, that's up to you. If you did take some water over the bow, it wouldn't drain out.

I have the same year and model. There is a drain in the ski locker. Might want to check it because there is a plug in there and it can fill with rain water if it's not pulled. As far as I know the anchor locker just drains out that fitting in the front of the boat. When I stored my boat outside...
Perch and salmon on Lake Mi., Bass, panfish, etc. on the inland lakes. I have a 2X12 with downriggers and rod holders mounted on it that I can remove by undoing a couple bolts. The rear facing seats on my Back-to-back loungers are great for watching the rods while trolling.
