I've got a 1986 340 Sundancer. With the v-drives and 454s in the stern, it just seems there's too much bow rise when getting on plane. The amount of pitch is also a little unsettling in large ocean swells at moderate speed. Finally, it seems almost impossible to plane at moderate speeds...
Both of the dripless stuffing boxes on my 1986 34 Sundancer with v drives are leaking badly. The engines, 454 Crusaders, must come out.
How do you do it? The couplers are almost impossible to see, much less get to. Also, the salt water leakage has made everything rusty.
I'd appreciate any...
I just bought my 1986 340 Dancer this past January. An oil leak has recently developed in the port v-drive. Do you have to pull the engine (454 Crusader) to fix it? Love the boat and thanks for any info.
