    Having trouble getting on plane

Tabs are working. If you lift them while running, the bow rise is immediate and obvious. As for trapped water, I don't think there are any places where it could accumulate in the stern. I'll double check on that.

    Having trouble getting on plane

Also, boat is rack kept so the bottom stays clean. Does anyone know what the prop size should be? Maybe I'm over pitched.

    Having trouble getting on plane

There is no added weight in the stern. 20 to 25 seconds at full throttle with tabs down seems similar to mine, but there's no way I'd stay on plane at 2500 with the tabs up.

    Having trouble getting on plane

The entire aft end of the boat under the cockpit is engine room. Nothing has been added. I have to run 100% of the time with tabs all the way down.

    Having trouble getting on plane

I've got a 1986 340 Sundancer. With the v-drives and 454s in the stern, it just seems there's too much bow rise when getting on plane. The amount of pitch is also a little unsettling in large ocean swells at moderate speed. Finally, it seems almost impossible to plane at moderate speeds...

Help needed with engine removal on '86 340 Sundancer

Both of the dripless stuffing boxes on my 1986 34 Sundancer with v drives are leaking badly. The engines, 454 Crusaders, must come out. How do you do it? The couplers are almost impossible to see, much less get to. Also, the salt water leakage has made everything rusty. I'd appreciate any...

    V-drive oil leak

The oil is going into the bilge. What's left in the v-drive looks clear as a bell and it seems to work fine.

    V-drive oil leak

My problem is the boat stays in Florida but I don't live there. The only things I know for sure is that there's no leak visible from the top and the oil level went down about a pint & a half the last 2 times I used it. I don't know about the cooler. I'm definitely still learning the boat...

    V-drive oil leak

I just bought my 1986 340 Dancer this past January. An oil leak has recently developed in the port v-drive. Do you have to pull the engine (454 Crusader) to fix it? Love the boat and thanks for any info.
