I don't have strainers, and just rebuilt sea water pump. Replaced sensor and now reads 180 at idle. That's not a problem though. I think I'm gonna tear pump apart again.
My 94 270 Dancer temp gauge will go from 150 (normal) down to 100 and back up to 150-170 with in 3 seconds, sometimes it bounces higher and sets off my high temp alarm. Already replaced Sea water pump and impeller, thermostat, risers. Now I'm thinking sensor is NG?? Any suggestions?
I went though this last season on my 94. Ended up replacing transom assembly. Less to worry about in the future as it came with everything. Just replacing the seal doesn't insure that it won't leak again soon if corroded. Also replaced my Y pipe while we were in there. Found a crack in it which...
My 270 DA did the same thing, but I found with more people in back of boat, I got more water. After standing in waist deep water and watching how boat sits, I realized that my steering pin was leaking when under water due to heavy load in rear. Hand held mirror inside of engine room confirmed...
Such an ignorant post. 230,000+ people dead isn't enough for you??? I work in the Immunology industry, second line support, and things are getting crazy. SCREW your Halloween, I'd rather see fewer kids die from Covid.
I run one of each, deep cycle and starting. I only run one battery at a time and switch between the two. 1 on odd numbered days, 2 on even. Running on both can damage a good batt. if other has a bad cell. I've not had a problem in many years.
Funny how every one makes light of this, because trump said it's a hoax. I work in Immunology, on the front lines of Covid research. This is NOT a hoax. I personally have been affected and know people who have DIED. Trump is the biggest spreader of misinformation re: this virus. Now he has it? I...
I had same problem after a recent service, turned out one spark plug wire fell off. Boat ran fine, just would not get up on plane with a big load. Worth a shot..........check wires.
Yup water pump bushing, easy fix-replace water pump. The leak should stop after sitting for some time, there's quite a bit of water higher than this spot, so it leaks until water drains.
After boating for 45 years, I have about 500' of lines in various lengths in a basket. And I just bought new anchor line with chain, so add 100' to that. I can't even carry them all, so I keep about 150' on board in various lengths to be cut as needed.
