I put a white sheet under the drive and found a small spot about the size of a dime after a day. It was coming from the shift shaft where it comes out of the upper to attach to the lower. Will this leak more while running? Will I be ok if I check it often We have a trip about an hour away.

My drive fluid was empty . I refilled it and alarm stopped and I pulled the boat out of the water. I cant seem to find a leak. I'm confused where all the fluid went????????

I was snapping on my mooring cover in the rain once and stepped backwards right off the swim platform. Lucky the water was only 3 feet deep at the dock.

I squirt some Dawn in and about 2 gallons of water into bilge and go for a ride before I pull it out for the year. Get home and pull the plug and rinse. The bilge usually comes pretty clean the tough stains get scrubbed with Tide.

My Admiral does not like driving the boat at the beach in shallow water and dropping the anchor is not the easiest for her either. Is it possible to install a windlass and a 1995 230 Sundancer. If so where can I find one.

Use Dawn Dish Soap. Just wipe it all over the impeller then insert in water pump. It will help you get it installed and will help lubricate it during the dry start. Petroleum based lubricants can break down the rubber and you will be changing the impeller again. X2

It should be long enough so that it is taller than your camper/bimini top and be seen all around. I have a 95 230 Sundancer and mine is about 4 to 4.5 feet.

Gimble bearing should have a zerk on the right side of outdrive right by the transom. Mounts may be tight but motor may have shifted out of alignment causing noise from bearing. turn bearing by hand it should be smooth as butter and no noise. I had a 4winns that the motor shifted and it cost me...

Could be exhaust bellows or motor mounts causing gimble bearing to make noise or bearing went bad just by chance.
