These vents are at the rear on each side of the hull and have the Amberjack name on them; fastening with a screw would be difficult and do to the weight and size would require many more than 2 screws and wouldn't look very good.
29' Amberjack Hi its been a long time since I've been here & I can't find out how to start a new thread. Anyway on our 08 Amberjack the bilge vent cover is coming off; it's detaching from the caulk/glue. There doesn't appear any screws holding it on only the caulk. Has anyone had this same...
Follow up: I installed the switch And after I realized that the spacer under the switch fell out of position; I installed it correctly and no more alarms. Thanks again Espose4
Yes Espose4, I do have D.T.S. Thank you for the info, looked at your pics. I think we probably have the same engines; can you tell me about where on the engine the switch is located--it's hard to tell from the pics. Where did you buy the new switch?
When backing around after starting the engines to get out of our canal an alarm starts the V. V. says shift alarm. The alarm continues for about 2 mins and the rpm on that engine won't go above 800 rpm. After the alarm turns off everything operates normally. The drives are Bravo Seacore, any ideas?
The plug-in is toward the rear middle of the starboard engine on top, it was hiding under a couple of other harness wires. An electronics guy found it.
Update- I called a company recommended by a mechanic; they came out the same day got the water out and ran the gas through their system and it seems all is OK. Ran it for about 20 miles.
To answer the questions probably 5 gal of water & 90 or so of gas.
Just found there are companies that run your gas through their filter does anyone know about what they charge.
I just put water in the gas tank. Any suggestions on how to get it out will be much appreciated. I believe water will be below the gas in the tank, how do I get it all out?
I hope someone knows where the through hull depth sounder transducer plugs to the engine harness. After a couple of "mechanics" were playing around with the engine wiring I notice my transducer is not plugged in. Does anyone know where it plugs into the engine harness? 08 Amberjack 350 mag efi...
I do think the transducer is probably made by Airmar. The next problem is how to get the old one out. It's an in-hull held in place by about a 4" plastic ring/collar. I tried to unscrew by hand, no luck, it's in a tough place to get a good grip on. Does anyone know of something that would do the...
