Guys, did I not post my experience with replacing my Turbos on the 3116?
I've done a search and can't find what I thought I wrote. Perhaps I intended to do a write up but never did it. Sometimes that's the problem with these mega boat specific threads...
I've just been reading about some of...
So, I got a call today from my insurance broker. They don't normally call, but in light of the fact that my rate increased as much as it did, they thought it warranted a call...
It started with, "have you seen your new rate?".... I was like, "No"
It turns out, thanks to those with boat owners...

This came over the aviation channels....
I contacted U.S. Coast Guard Navigation Center and made them aware and they are now going to send out the information to there Sector offices. But they could not direct me to any online notices. Perhaps the sector will post something. Until they do, be...
Has it really been 21 years since we were saying 1999?....Haha...
Time flies like it's traveling at light speed....It would be better if time "boated" instead of "flew"...
How much time does it take you or your mechanic to do:
1. Oil Change
2. Impeller Change
on your diesel boat...Bonus points if you have a 3116 and 400da!
I understand that it's might be longer for the stbd motor as it's on the far side .
Without detailing everything, I just received an...
Ok,
I don't recall ever having this issue....I closed the seacock and pulled the hose from the seacock and lowered into a 5 gal. bucket with 4 gal of antifreeze.
I drained the strainer and poured antifreeze in that too and closed it back up... Started the Geni and she ran fine, but she wasn't...
I didn't want to muddy the boat incident thread with this discussion. In fact, if the tragedy never happened, I want to discuss the logic and the regulations of egress on vessels.
So nothing needs to be specific to the Conception incident as I understand this is a common design and approval...
Hey guys,
I know the coffee maker is a great thing for many people, but for some, it really takes up some room.
Since I don't drink coffee, I removed mine and converted it into a pot/pans cabinet....
As you might know, the cabinet isn't finished off behind the coffee maker. So you have to...
I replaced my sending units with Royce Flexi-sensor a few years back.
I just went to do an inspection of the sendor at the tank and noticed the plastic clip that holds the sensor in place has snapped and broke. I'd like to discuss with them and possibly get a replacement.
The sending unit...
I know this goes without saying, but SR customer support is great. Very helpful and answers any question you might need an answer to regarding your vessel no matter what vintage...
That said, I wouldn't want you to take it for granted.
If you have some questions you need answers to, perhaps...
I thought this might be of interest to many of you....Now we just need to find an article reviewing US products.

So, I'm looking over at a dock neighbor's boat this am as I see some wasps making a nest. under the gunnel of his boat.
But, this is what caught my attention. Initially I thought it was simply exposed wires being plugged into the shore power cord. But since my camera has a good zoom I can see...
I saw a sundancer with twin American flags in the rod holders. I can't find the pict now, but was wondering what you guys use and the size....Fiberglass telescoping? Aluminum?
