    340 SUNDANCER THREAD

Ok so I found my thru hull. I went with an Airmar B75M 20deg tilt. I boat and fish in shallow water of around 50' or less so this was what was recommended for the boat. So now I am considering stepping up to the Simrad Go12 if anyone has installed one of these can you please post a picture or...

Hey I had seen in a post of yours that you have a Go12 do you have a picture of that? I didn't think it would fit and I was going to put a 9" in there

Anyone install a Simrad Go9 On their 99-02 Sundancer? If so what Transducer did you install? The one I am looking at has a radar and transom mount transducer but I don't see where I could mount that and get clean water. So it looks like I need to use a thru hull which is ok but I am wondering...

Try a set of DQX 4 blades. Drop 1 inch in pitch and stay at the same diameter. Call Mike at Deep Blue Yacht supply. He has probably already been involved in the upgrade to other 340 owners with 8.1's They aren't cheap but I would have enjoyed my boat much more over the past 5 years had I made...

    340 SUNDANCER THREAD

Ok folks so I finally got out this weekend to do some running with my new props. Old props were Hy-Torq 17x17 (3b lade) nibral I was running 3800 rpm cruising 27.5 - 28 mph. I had to run full tabs to get the bow down. New Props Michigan DQX 17x16 (4 blade) nibral light cupping...

The new props are amazing. I didn't have a chance to log speed vs rpm I was only out for a few minutes trying to beat the storms that were rolling in. It made my boat run better than it ever has. Popped up on plane way faster and she runs much flatter without having to run full tabs. I was at...

    340 SUNDANCER THREAD

Ok so I posted most of the pics I took while I was repacking my rudders. If you call Centek there is an older gentleman that has good knowledge of the retrofit to remove the logs and install the Vernalift mufflers. They know all of the parts that you need. I think I only needed a short piece of...

Ok so I got my props back after a mistake in the bore sizing. Deep Blue Yacht supply has incredible customer service. They paid to overnight them back their shop, fixed their mistake and overnighted them back to me. Can't ask for anything more than that. Mistakes happen and they way they handled...

I had a pretty bad day.... can't find the receipt for the mufflers, I'll be in the bilge on Friday and I'm pretty sure the part numbers are still on the mufflers. I'm feeling pretty bummed out, my props were delivered today. I had my son load them in my truck and meet me at the marina after...

stay tuned, I ordered a set of Michigan DQX Nibral 17x16 light cup props. I hope to be back in the water by next weekend. Mike at Deep Blue Yacht Supply had good knowledge of this setup and was very helpful. They also had the best price I could find. I will post a complete list of results when I...

I spoke to them and they didn't have info for the 7.4 Horizons. Plenty of info on the standard 7.4 and 8.1's but nothing for thus package. I'm willing to spend the money with them but I would like to try to get it right on the first set and not have to play up and down in the travel lift trying...

Thanks Tom, which power package did you have and do remember what size wheels they cut for you?

    340 SUNDANCER THREAD

No it was apples to oranges, considering we have different drivelines. I believe that the 8.1's are connected to 2.1 gear boxes while my 7.4 Horizons are hooked to 1.5 boxes. The 8.1's are usually propped with 18x22 wheels while the 7.4 got the 17x17. I'm not expecting the same performance but...

    340 SUNDANCER THREAD

Hey there, what props are you running in your '99-2002 340? I have the 380 Horizons package and I am not happy with my 3 blade 17x17 Hy-Torque props. Not much info on 340's with the Horizons out there . I'm looking at Acme 3 blade, Michigan DJX and DQX props not sure if I need to go 4 blade...

    340 SUNDANCER THREAD

I did this project a few years ago. Very painless and I only had to buy a couple of pieces of exhaust tubing. I'm dealing with some memory loss (jokingly) but I think I remember buying the Vernalift mufflers from the manufacture directly and the gentleman that I spoke to was familiar with the...

    replacing cabin speakers 02 340da

What speakers are you installing? I'm in the process of upgrading my entire system and adding tower speakers to the arch. I'm interested in what fits in the cabin speaker location. Was thinking about Polks. I'm installing 4 Polk Mm651UM, 1 MM1040UM sub, and 4 JL m880's (2 flush mount 2 tower...
