    Cliff, It will vary according to what you have on, ambient temp, etc. Run the genny when you need to, its really that simple. It won't burn 1 gallon/hr at full load. Where you docking this year? Boat rack? J

    Spray a little fuel or starting fluid in the carb on the genny. If starts and dies you know its only a fuel issue. My guess is you dont' have enough fuel in the tank.

    Also what dwna1a said, with no lights at all sounds like you have at least 1 battery flat.

    Look and see if you have two pickup tubes for fuel in that tank. My genny pumps out of the starboard tank only from its own pickup tube. If it gets below a 1/4 tank, the genny is out of fuel, because the genny pickup is higher in the tank to keep you from running it dry I guess. I can switch the...

    As fwebster said above, not near enough water. You can tell by the sound the muffler is dry. Hope you didn't cook the new one. You need to verify nothing is blocked from the old impellor coming apart. Good luck!!

    Roll up a piece of coarse scotchbrite and insert it in the hose end near arrestor. Oil coming up in the vapor will "condense" on the scotchbrite and run back down the inside of the breather hose. I did this in a old tired small block due to blowby. I got tired of it running down onto the...

    Trouble Starting the boat

    Might be trouble, you should have left the hood on the motor. Might need to dry out the starter, then you should be gtg!
