That's exactly my concern Xplcitlinck, most people I know with 7.4's have no trouble. The boat is lift kept, bottom and wheels are clean. I felt it should have stretched its legs a little better. But I have never been able to chat with another diesel 330ec or 340aj owner.

It was the first long trip we had her out on, we ran 82 miles one way, fuel burn was about .95 mpg.

Hello all, so happy to have found this thread. I have a 340 aj with 300hp 3126 cats, and I had her out over the long weekend and found I had to push her pretty hard to cruise at about 25mph. Top end was at about 30 mph, showing 2725 on the tachs. Does anyone know the performance with the diesels?

does anyone know why the engine pre heater relay would cycle even after engine is running in a 3126 cat, analogue engine, not digital thanks

I hope Sea Ray doesn't forget the value of quality in components. I saw a L-650 get hauled today due to a busted rudder and various problems while it was on it's way to its new home.

hi David, I've owned (2) 290 aj's gas, and currently own a 340 aj w/3126 cats. and can say that I've loved them all. I only wish sea ray did not stop making them, the next logical step would be a 370 ec, but they stopped making that one in 2000, so real clean ones are getting harder to find. I...

hello Pete, I pulled two oil pressure switches, one is in the open position one is closed, not sure if that is how they work, but they are not shorted to ground like my water tmp sender was.

hello all, I'm a bit frustrated, if anyone has had this issue, ,,,, Genny quit while under load; found blown ignition fuse, blew again, so I found shorted out water temp sender,, replaced it, genny ran an hour and started blowing fuse again. But temp switch checks out ok(no Short) any ideas...

does anyone know where I can find the second GFI receptacle in the 340 aj. one is in the cupboard above the electrical panel for the starboard outlets, but the one for the receptacles on port side and the head eludes me. thanks for any help.
