Alex,
Check out www.boatwarden.com It looks like a pretty well designed system, with a lot of user controlled options. I actually just became a distributor for this product in the USA. I don't know a lot about this yet, but I am going to install one in my boat to see what it's all about. I...
Steve-Congrats on the 320...It's a great boat. I have a Garmin 4208 chartplotter in mine-it does fill the entire side panel. I can get you the dimensions of the panel if you like. Let me know
Ditto on the max cold air pressure, we also carry a hand held infrared thermometer and check the temp on the tires and hubs whenever we stop. It's a pretty inexpensive tool to carry, and it's quick and easy to see if you have any heat issues with the tires or wheel bearings
Re: Who has made the trip starting on the St Croix to Davenport IA area or vice versa
Andrew-We boat out of La Crosse and have made it as far south as Dubuque. It is a worthwhile trip at least to there. I think the Quad Cities are another 70 miles or so south from there. Time wise it really...
I'm assuming you have surge brakes... if so, this info was "borrowed" from another site-it takes a little time, but it's a pretty safe way to bleed trailer brakes. Some guys also use a vacuum pump at the bleeders, or use the winch strap to apply pressure to the master cylinder...however, if...
Wow! What a well engineered system. Great post. I was also wondering about the heat produced by the amps...I have 2 amps under my salon couch, and I just have a cheesy little fan moving some air around the amps. It works, but I was looking for a more permanent solution. How did you ventilate...
Speakrdude-I'm with you (we seem to be the minority in this thread) Being in the towing/transport biz, we move a fair amount of oversize loads. It can sometimes be a pain in the a$$ dealing with some states permit reqirements, but it's really not that big of a deal, and most permits are pretty...
We do a fair amount of shrink wrapping, and it seems to me our supplier said the 6 mil wrap will support 250lbs per square ft-(we use 7 mil) Like the others previously stated-the support structure is pretty critical-slope is good
I sell quite a bit on ebay-mostly cars and parts. (my ebay sales subsidize my boating habit) I have bought and sold a few boats on ebay, in fact I just sold a Zodiac to a guy in Bulgaria-thought it was a scam for sure, but his US buddy paid w/ PayPal. Who knew??
Like Joe said above, most...
Nope-only bail money...and that's a little dicey. Even if you have great friends, a loan like that makes your friendship a business arrangement, that makes the repo that much harder. Just invite him to you boat, and tell him to bring the beer (or adult beverage of your choice)
I agree with the other 320 owners-It really is a good all around boat. There are a few small shortcomings, but we really have found it to be user friendly. This was our 1st "big" boat, and it's been pretty easy transition from our 24SD. It seems like no matter what you buy, you're always...
