I considered a counter top Kenyon once and then saw a Fomula 470 with one mounted on their bridge. The grease and smoke all over the ceiling convinced me I would never put a grill under our hard top. I believe the best place is on the swim deck.

For diesels 200 rpm would be a big difference. Our previous boat had Mecruisers and there was less than 100 rpm difference between engines at WOT but I am not sure what is acceptable. Safe travels, I look forward to your trip reports.
