Agree with Frank.
We looked at the coast from Apalachicola to west of Destin. We wanted to be close to the beach with good access to water.
Apalachicola to Mexico Beach is pretty isolated. Destin is way too congested. No marinas between Destin and Panama City.
We ended up in the eastern...
I'm having an issue high higher speed performance on the 300 Dancer (350 MPI) and the first thing I want to do is change the fuel filters. The engines run fine at low speeds but don't want to go much over 3000 rpm.
I picked up a pair of filters at West Marine, only to find out today that there...
Finally got back to PCB last night. We'll be heading out to the gulf side of shell island, I'm sure the bay side will be a zoo.
Looks like good weather, we need it after July 4th week
While our boat was safely tucked away in dry stack, we were able to watch about 6" of precip fall in Panama City. :smt089
To add insult to injury, the storm sewer backed up and left a foot and a half of water in the street. Not bad until a truck went through the no wake zone at 10 mph and put a...
I had this happen to me, A/C would run 2-3 minutes and shut off. I cleaned the strainer, pulled the pump apart and checked everything. Still no A/C.
I was told the pump wasn't primed by a very wise man, so I loosened the clamp on the pump discharge until water came out. Cranked everything up...
Great thread.
Having been awakened by the sound and feel of our boat bumping on the (thankfully sandy) bottom a couple weeks ago due to anchor dragging, I want to learn as much about anchoring as I can.
We did a bareboat out of the Mooings several years ago. If you've never been to BVI you need to put it on your bucket list.
I want to go back, but since we just bought the Sundancer we need to wait a year or three.
We went through this decision a few months ago.
The 300DA is a lot more boat than the 280. As mentioned, the mechanicals have great access. If towing isn't an issue for you it should be an easy decision.
