I've got a Promariner 40 on my 3 battery bank and last fall I got a 911 from the marina that an alarm was blaring on my boat. Thinking it was my high water alarm, I drove 3 hours to find out it was the battery charger monitor panel alarming. One of my 3 batteries had gone totally dead (4...
I don't want a repeat of last seasons ferocious zinc loss. First time in 15 years with this boat that I experienced that kind of zinc loss. I'm talking about complete loss of several zincs that were new at the beginning of the season as well as the almost total loss of two hanging zinc...
FOUND IT:
The Zinc Saver, about the size of a deck of cards, is mounted port side inside the sliding compartment by the steps. It's mounted upside down under the side deck. I'm not sure how it's wired, but I'm leaning towards putting the new unit in the AC panel compartment and running a new...
After my very excessive anode erosion last season, I'm going over the bonding system to be sure everything is clean and good. I'm trying to locate the galvanic isolator, but I'm not seeing it. Anybody know where it's located on an 89 Dancer? I assumed it'd be near the power inlet but it's...
I never pulled it totally. I pumped 4000UV into the screw holes and that stopped my water ingress issue.
I'm interested in this issue myself. I'd like to pull it and rebed. I think it's a two man job just to prevent damage.
Pulled the bot today for winter and my anodes are GONE!
All 4 trim ram zinc are gone, only the studs remain. The anode on the cav plate, port is 70 percent gone, starboard IS gone, just the bolt remains. The two zinc screw caps are al out totally dissolved and the 2 pound hanging zinc fish I...
On the back is a 4 6 8 switch, turn it rapidly thru all settings several times and return to the correct setting and see how it works. That cleans up the contacts a bit.
I just finished replacing the power inlet with a stainless Marinco unit. The cord is now tight in the fitting with no wiggle.
I put an IR gun on the back side of the old receptacle while pulling 25 amps and it read almost 200 degrees! I couldn't keep my hand on it. Also, main breaker was 145...
I've done the conversion to the new shift assembly.
Also saw a YouTube video on how to change the cable and bellows without removing toe drive , looks like a good way to do it.
Anyone replaced their shore power inlet on the boat side?
Question, can you just remove the 4 screws and pull the wiring out or do you need to access it from behind?
If from behind, how did you access it?
I may need to replace mine, I think someone was on my boat and tripped over the cord and...
What void are you referring to?
Transom should be solid plywood about 2 inches thick.
Depending on where you bolted it on, you may be at the top of the core, the bumped out portion of the transom. Stock unit was bolted above the core on mine. They just folded the chopper glass over the top...
