Suggestions for trip to Bush Gardens by boat

It sounds like a nightmare to me but we're doing it for the kids -- a trip to Busch Gardens in August. I've heard the marinas close to Busch Gardens on the James River side offer no protection. Any recommendations for marinas on the York River side or better alternatives? Thanks in advance.

Best way to clean interior of fresh water hose?

So.... I just picked up my fresh water hose and doused my shoes, discovering that I didn't properly drain it at the end of last season. How all that water stayed in the hose during the car trip home is beyond me. Anyhow... any advice for cleaning/purifying the interior of the hose? Thanks. -...

Any info on anchoring outside the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, NJ to listen to concerts?

Apparently, boats anchor in the Delaware right outside the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, NJ to listen to concerts. It sounds like it would be really fun and, at the same time, could also be a mad-house at night. Anyone have an info/experience with this? Any local knowledge in the group? Thanks in...

ideas for engine room storage (share 'em if you got 'em)

On my new boat, I don't have a lot of above deck storage space - cockpit lockers, etc. However, I have a large size engine room. What clever ideas have you had to create storage units and containers along with hanging storage (for lines and hoses, etc.) in your engine room or other bilge...

Know anything about SeaLift Flush Mount Pop Up Chocks?

Hi, I need to install chocks on my hydraulic swim platform. I've been researching my a$$ off and have found that SeaLift sells their flush mount chocks separately. They promote that they can easily be made flush when you want to use the platform. But, "easily" and anything related to...

Why did you pick your current boat?

Why I chose a Prestige over a Sea Ray ...

I'm starting this thread because Rocket asked me why I purchased a 2015 Prestige 550 Fly over a new Sea Ray. I traded up from my 420DB which I absolutely loved. She treated me well as I did her. Since comparing boats is often a difficult if not a futile endeavor -- there are so many variables...

Any experience using the Shakespeare CA-VAT cell booster kit?

Does anyone have experience using the Shakespeare CA-VAT Cellular Booster Kit? If so, do you find it's a good investment? Do you find that it truly boosts cell signals in a noticeable and significant way? Or, if you have another recommendation, I'd love to hear about it. Thanks! - Michael

What's the big problem with the 47 Sedan Bridge?

It seems like the 47 Sedan Bridge wasn't a popular or well received boat. At least, it doesn't seem like there are many out there. If this is the case, why? Personally, I think it has the best interior design/layout of any of the DB's. Was the hull not well engineered? Was it under-powered...
