    Recommendations for Rappahannock marina's

Hi, We'll be cruising the Chesapeake for the next two weeks and would like to tuck in for a night on the Rappahannock. Do you have a recommendation for a marina in or near the mouth of the river? Thanks in advance.

Suggestions for trip to Bush Gardens by boat

Thanks! We're almost twice as high as the bridge clearance so I think that is out for us. I'm leaning toward Kingsmill and will call them tomorrow to see if they can take us.

Suggestions for trip to Bush Gardens by boat

It sounds like a nightmare to me but we're doing it for the kids -- a trip to Busch Gardens in August. I've heard the marinas close to Busch Gardens on the James River side offer no protection. Any recommendations for marinas on the York River side or better alternatives? Thanks in advance.

Shore power. Shore water. Why not shore sewer?

I do see the issues that would arise but we have put autonomous vehicles on Mars. I've got to imagine we have the capability of figuring out how to hook up a boat directly to the sewer system. Running electricity to boats is extremely dangerous if not done properly but we've figured out how to...

LEHR Outboards - Are they any good?

I had a LERH 9.9 on my previous dingy. It ran very well, was extremely quiet, and didn't omit any fumes. I opted for the key start and loved it. I didn't have to pull the chord once. I would buy one again. The only downside is that you can't fill your propane tank at the fuel dock.

Tips for first weekend on a boat?

You're getting great advice about planning and making sure you have everything you need. And, at the same time, you might want to make sure you don't overpack. Generally, I find we need less than we think, especially food and clothing. Additionally, any food that you bring that would normally be...

Best way to clean interior of fresh water hose?

So.... I just picked up my fresh water hose and doused my shoes, discovering that I didn't properly drain it at the end of last season. How all that water stayed in the hose during the car trip home is beyond me. Anyhow... any advice for cleaning/purifying the interior of the hose? Thanks. -...
