I have 8 plait and the 1/4 inch G4 chain with my v700. The only time it hangs up is when it goes from the chain to the rope. Sometimes I have to go back and forth a few times and it will feed.

Our son wants to use our boat

Thanks everyone for your input. He's taking it out tomorrow while we are on vacation. We normally let our children use anything of ours but I wanted to see what fellow boat owners thought when it came to their babies. We let him know whatever they break, they will repair or replace. I just...

Our son wants to use our boat

I just wanted to see what other boat owners were doing. The only thing that concerns me is its an older boat and when something breaks on it, we are left paying the bill, because the children can't afford it or they would have their own boat. And it kinda gets me that I am the only one to wax...

    wiring v700 lewmar

Yes, unless your are using the contactor solenoid. Then the wires from the contactor to the switches can be a lot smaller.

The second brown goes to the float switch and is only hot if the float switch is tripped, the wire to the float switch is always hot.

Mine did not have a float switch attached to it. Does your pump have a built in float switch, or one that is separate?

1988 Sundancer 268 7.4 L overheated, sucked water into engine

Mine did the same thing last year. I pulled the plugs and turned it over which shot all of the water out of the cylinders. Then I put in new plugs and it fired right up. I sprayed fogging oil in the carb to coat the cylinders. The overheating did destroy my exhaust flappers which is why it...

1985 Sundancer 260 Side Window Flocking

I replaced mine in 2013. The hard part was removing the old flocking because it had become hard and brittle. I had to take a screwdriver and scrape it out in pieces. Once removed the new flocking was easy to put in the channel. Mine had the same flocking in both channels. I had to go to a sea...

    Sporatic overheating questions.

I just had an overheat issue with my 5.7 mercruiser/alpha one. After changing the impeller and thermostat, it would still overheat sometimes. Finally found the water hose in the outdrive was kinked and the more it was trimmed, the hotter it would get. Runs perfectly at 140 with a 140 degree...
