We have the same boat.... I installed the exact thing your wanting a few years ago... With some minor plumbing and electrical knowledge it is very easy... I bought most of the parts on ebay, tank, pump, shower head... It probably cost me $150.00
I installed the tank under the port...
Sir,,
Unfortunatly, with that size rig, you will have a rough ride in any kind of rough chop.. Smaller the boat,,, rougher handling....
My only advice would be keep the trim in and that will keep the bow lower and lets you cut more of the chop... You will not have a very efficient run but at...
I am using a pyle (throw away amp to power my tower speakers) in my searay along with the factory installed amp (to power the factory polk subs) and have had no problem using the system in a swimming cove for 2-3 hrs on one batt. I alternate batteries each outing.. The Pyle is a marine...
I winter oct thru march.. I add the fuel cocktail to the cool fuel module (filter housing), per O&O book. I also give the fuel a strong dose of starton treatment and try to run in for a few minutes to be sure the strong dose makes it to the engine.
I usually store with about 90% fuel... I...
Another explanation is with that option you will have a switch at the helm to divert the engine exhaust and sounds from the prop (under the water) to the port and starboard sides above the water line.. Gives your engine a mighty roar to wake up your neighbors when you come back into the boat...
Crappy design.. My 2007 230 Select has the same horn... It has been replaced the first year under warranty. Now it blows once then dies off... Just havent felt like messing with it.. Another design flaw with the searay sportboat line.... horns and helm switches... My biggest *****....
SFERGUSON,
I am going to try the warranty route you mention.. I work for a Caterpillar and we call what you mention "good will" . Marine Max here is a lazy dealer though.. I refuse to use their service dept for any thing not warranty. They quote you 10 days, its turns into 40....... There parts...
THANKS WISH2FISH..
We have really enjoyed the ease of putting into the water.. No more having to stress the admiral at the launch ramp.. I just wish it was a bit higher but our deed restrictions mandate the height... They all have to be the same....
Thanks.. I did the install myself for under $500.00 All off EBAY and AMAZON..
Yes, its a factory OEM wakeboard tower.. Built by monster towers for Searay.. Its funny you ask since this is the only tower like this I have seen on a 230 Select.. Not sure why mine is different.. I like it but...
Marine Max is saying the warranty does not cover air voids, just blisters.. Sounds like BS to me..
They havent seen it yet.. Im going to run by there at the end of the season and let them take a look...
Thanks
GCUNNING is correct..
6-8 GPH is about what I get cruising at 2900 RPM/ 1/2 trim and two adults and 2 kids along with 50% fuel and 15 gal of water..
Its an awesome boat. The engine is a perfect match with the hull.. You cant go wrong.... This summer we havent put near the hrs we normally do...
Thanks for the quick reply,,
Can I fill in the pin size hole with epoxy "perma tex epoxy"? I'm not concerned with the looks since its below the visible water line... Is this a decent way to repair since marine max quoted me about $500.00 to repair??
Gents,,
I took a picture of the bottom of the boat.. I have noticed a very small "pin" hole with some brown on the white gel coat... What do yu think...
Also,, anybody having problems with the plastic toggle switches on the helm? I continue to have problems with them breaking at the...
We love our 230, 2007 model... No real big issue here...
Its now kept on a lift... We got our 8 year old up this weekend on a wakeboard... "230 Select..Making Memories":smt038
Hey neighbor...
I have done the exact project on a 07 230 Select. It was really easy if you have some basic plumbing and elec skills. I purchased a tank on line that fit in front of my trim pump on the port side. I made sure it had a fill fitting and vent fitting. I attached it to the floor...
Gents,,
I have my boat on a sling type lift system.. One of my cables busted friday... Scary, very scary... Luckily no major damage to the boat.. just a small chip from where the shacke hit the boat.. That will be another subject down the road...
My question is what size of cable (wirerope)to...
Thanks for the advise..
It there only one blower motor. I see one on the port side but cant seem to see one on the starboard side...
Thanks again for the suggestions. I will examine my fan when I get into the half monkey/contortionist mode...
