I tried to remove the woodgrain from the old one and it did not go well. For the price of the replacement I do not want to take a chance and crack the black cover too.. Besides I figure the port side panel is probably not far behind to be replaced then they both will match.
I had the same problem with my boat. I had to change out the push button pad. The only diffference is the replacement pad does not come in woodgrain anymore is was all black. I ordered one through a Searay dealer. About 400 dollars.
I have the trick davit system and love it. The customer service was great. I curently have a Mercury 8.6 ft air deck with a susuki 6hp on my swim platform
I seem to be having the same problem. The mechanic said it could be a problem with the batteries. I'm going to load test the batteries to make sure they are ok.
Which circuit breaker pad did you replace the one under the helm or the engine compartment?
After running the engines it seems that it takes about 9.5 quarts. Since Mercury stopped making their full synthetic I switched to Amsoil full synthetic marine oil and it appears to not get as dark as the Mercury oil.
I'm glad I decided to go to the lighthouse today. It turned out to be a great day. When I came back to Northport there was no wind at all. The weatherman really screwed up the forecast today.
My boat only came with one so when it died I bought two from Home Depot for a fraction of the price. I put one in each of the sleeping ares for piece of mind when I'm running the generator.
Congrats Joe. You have a lot to look forward in life after retirement from the NYPD. It's a good thing the Beach Inn can accomandate your soon to be growing family.
Brian now that you came out of the closet as the man needing a bow thruster I can officially welcome you to Club Searay.
Yes please post Pics. It's always easier watching someone else drill holes in their boat. Good luck tomorrow.
I want to thank everyone for their opinions and insight into this matter. When he originally asked me I knew by posting it I would get a answer that was truthful and professional regarding the company that he was looking to use.
No matter what the reason for the bow thruster it's not the size...
