This past weekend 5 people, 1-2 foot waves, 64mph. Albeit on a SeaRay speedo ... I need to download a GPS Speedo and try again. Either way, we weren't the last ones to the island!
I am by no means a mechanical expert, however, I had a similar problem on an Alpha drive of similar age. It required an adjustment in the shift cable, and the mechanic let me know that this was the last adjustment that could be done with the original cable - that it would need to be replaced...
Well, I had a slip all weekend. Powered it up, no issues whatsoever. EVERYTHING worked the way that it should - even the converter. We had an amazing time and I'm glad that the boat's electrical systems were all working properly.
This is great info as well. The only time I walk on the deck is dropping or retrieving my anchor. I don't go that close to the beach where I can do it once I'm in shallow water. I usually stay in at least 10ft of water to anchor. And yes, the entire deck is white. Blue trim is on the sides...
Ok, all steps have been done now. So, I'm going to run it tomorrow after work in the evening. I'll let you know how it goes. This is great - what a useful forum. Thanks to everyone.

I took the hose off of that nipple and blew compressed air down through that and out the hole in the bottom. Nothing but water. We'll see how it goes tomorrow.

More good information. I will keep you all posted as to the progress. It's not oxidized or dull, but there are some rashes, dings, and even a hole that I found on the side that I want patched up. I don't have the knowledge to try and do any of this myself (or the space, i.e. a pole barn). I...
I'm almost sold on the Imron. Durability is key with me. I want the boat to look sharp, but I need to be able to walk on it, lean on it, etc. This forum is great - thanks for all of the input.
I don't know much about this, but the reason I'm asking and the reason I said gelcoat, is because my last boat was a BEAUTIFUL restored Checkmate. HOWEVER, it seemed like it was painted with automotive paint or something. If you looked at it wrong, it would scratch. You couldn't walk on the...
