My shore power cable winch trouble

It’s like what ever is in the winch pulling my shore power cable in has no grip. I tried cleaning the cable, but still doesn’t seem to be able to grab the cable to retract it. Anyone else have this issue?

complete generator failure, less than 1000 hrs

I'm pretty ticked off. My Cummins 11.5 diesel generator is completely trashed and I have to replace. my boat is a 2015, and I bought in last year, thinking I shouldn't have to make these kinds of repairs/replace and a boat that's only 4 years old, 3 when i bought it. The boat was bought at a...

    Gilbert's in Key Largo

Spent a few days across from Gilbert's at a place called Anchorage Resort, because Gilbert's didn't have a slip big enough for me. Had a great stay and recommend this place. Spent a lot of time at Gilbert's.

Florida Bow Thrusters - best customer service out there.

This is an awesome company. If you ever need anything that they install, I highly recommend using them. I had a bow thruster installed on a previous boat. Heard good things about them and so hired them and they did a great job. Went beyond expectations. I wanted a hydraulic swim platform...

    Upgraded!

got the deal and delivery done! traded in my 370 Venture for a 2015 450 Sundancer! I can't believe how well this boat handles. I love the pods and the 480 Diesels. Spent a few days on her and she's awesome. Getting Florida Bow Thrusters to install a hydraulic swim platform in a couple of weeks.

I hope Sea Ray appreciates Capt. Rusty

I'm quickly learning the best thing about Sea Ray is Rusty Higgins. I have recently been shopping around other brands, but I won't any more. As long as he's employed by Sea Ray, I'm staying put, and all my current and future boats will be a Sea Ray. It doesn't get any better than the hands on...

    Formula Boats

I'm seeing a lot of them recently and the owners always view them as about the best boat out there. Where do they fall in the quality scale? They have a 45 Yacht that seems about the size of the 470 Sundancer.

    Our first year in Miami.

Been in Miami for a year now (boating), and it's been awesome. Cruised to Key Largo, Islamorada, and all over Biscayne Bay. Spent more days than I can count enjoying our Sea Ray anchored at a sandbar or just off an island (our favorites are Haulover Sandbar and Monument Island). Our favorite...

540 and 470 Sundancers without pods?

Anyone know if many of these models were made without pods? I am searching for next boat, and love the layouts of these 2 models (2013 or newer ones), hoping some were made with V Drives. but if they weren't, i will stop searching for them. there are so many awesome boats on the market, but...

Went to Miami boat show with a want list. Know a boat that will check off? 1. 50' range, prefer express that is open but with a glass windshield and no Isinglass. 2. hydraulic swim platform that will handle at least 800 pounds. 3. no pods 4. wife wants swim pads on front and rear (as it's hard...
