Your best bet is doing what you are doing. Get recommendations from your marina buds and on line. Thier are good shops in your area, just got to find one.

I don't have a rpm problem with my engines. But I heard this issue rage on and on. Just wanted to get both point of views. I know when I had a boat in Florida had a diver under the boat monthly. Running the boat does solve a lot of issues, just like with most mechanical devices.

Some days it makes more sense just to stay tied up at the dock. I made poor decisions due to time restraints. At the end of the day most major disasters begin with very small issue and build into big problems. Like hitting an ice Berg lol.
