Several similar posts on this issue, but adding one symptom I've not yet seen.
2006 260 DA, MerCruiser 350
1. Engine cold at dock, turn key, no cranking or engine start (have not listened for 'click' yet admittedly)
2. Continue step 1 15 or so times, ignition eventually fires and engine starts...
Thanks, all, for the ideas.
Frank - in your opinion, could the burn have been caused by unplugging the connector without the shore power switch being turned off at the breaker? Not to place blame elsewhere, but my wife was pretty excited to leave the dock and may have unplugged without turning...
Unplugged my 30 AMP connector from my 2006 260 DA yesterday to get ready for my first time out this year. Noticed a burn mark on one of the female receptacles. So there must have been some kind of short, correct? Main breaker tripped also during start up. Got a 'Trim Fault' indicator on my smart...
I have a water leak in the cabin of my 2006 260 Sundancer, noticed via dampness on v-berth cushion where the seat meets the back, by the closet door.
Seeing that leaks are common. Anyone have experience with a similar leak? I see floodlight and rub rail are often culprits. Any guidance on what...
Good point - reading other posts have me concerned about shift cable. The boat will idle, albeit at low rpm. It's the shift into reverse that caused the issue while docking.
sorry to be so naive, but is it possible to have a faulty IAC with no alarm from smartcraft ( I do have smartcraft gauges). Boat is an hour away so I can't easily get back to check again for alarms/codes.
Thanks, JimG. Would there have been any alarms related to the IAC? I didn't hear any...
Also, after safely tied back up in my slip, I started the engine to see how it would idle and if it would stall in neutral. Ran it for 5 mins without a stall, but it idled at < 400 rpm. Basically around 380...
MerCruiser 350 on my '06 260 Sundancer. 52 mile round trip to Sag Harbor this w/e, then up to Hamburg Cove for a decent amount of boating. Purchased about 65 gallons of gas in all. While approaching the mooring at Hamburg Cove at idle speed, the engine stalled, and was a bit difficult to restart...
Hi all - electronics newbie here. My boat had a DC panel replacement 2 yrs ago, and since, the Clarion stereo has not functioned (no power). Are there fuses to check? How do I tell if the stereo DC breaker is 'bad'? I'd like to troubleshoot myself, but fuses and breakers are as far as I can go...
my main fuses are in a panel under the steering wheel, the stereo fuse was fine - the electrical schematic in my manual refers to a stereo amplifier breaker on the bilge component board, next to the battery charger. I haven't checked that...nor do I really know if it would be causing the no...
i have a different setup apparently - don't recall a stereo mute button, though I'm not near the boat right now. Looking at my manual, looks like there may be a fuse behind the face plate of the stereo. can anyone confirm? and thanks for the troubleshooting help!
Hello all - the factory Clarion unit on my 2006 260 SD is not getting power. Couldn't identify any blown fuses on the fuse panel, all breakers are on. any ideas appreciated.
thanks,
