I have 07 aj and for me it's a perfect cross between fishing and cruising. My dilemma when looking for a boat is keeping everyone happy. I took out the live well and put a bench seat in that doubles as a cooler. I will post pict when I figure out. I luv my aj!!
Guess I was pretty lucky getting 6 seasons out of it compared to the horror stories I've read here. On my 270 aj I don't have much room if any to mount a vhf. That was what was nice about the ns100. I am looking for pictures, advice, etc on where to install a new unit. I am a budget boater and...
At $100 plus an hour I feel the mechanic should have the plug removed. It's common sense. At my marina all the plugs are removed prior to storage. I never had to ask specifically to remove it. Since your starter is now bad I would ask the mechanic to replace it due to his oversight. He knows he...
Curious if $250 plus shipping $40. Total $290 sounds right for a Capet to cover my swim platform? Platform is 9 ft x 4ft..being generous. So 36 sq ft or 4 sq yards of carpet. Marine carpet and binding. That's $70 per yard. Sounds high to me. Just don't want to be ripped off. Anyone know a...

Hope someone can help. My hydraulic steering seems pretty firm and my memory (last fall) says it should be easier with little effort. I checked fluid, inspected entire system and all looks good. It's a sable engine. Any advice where to look? Or , perhaps, an adjustment to "loosen" the wheel up...
In the cabin of my 270 aj on the port side I have my breakers cubby hole and microwave.
On top of those I gave a nice shelf for cups, paper towels, etc. the shelf has a very small lip that will barely prevent something from rolling off it. So needless to say when I hit a few bumps allow the...
Little thing I do to clean bilge is to pour degreaser full strength in bilge. Maybe 6ounces and mix with fresh water in bilg. Not enough to trigger the auto pump out. I then take a ride on boat and have the solution splash around abit. Get back to dock and with a soft brush wipe down bilge and...
