If you're at all handy, you can do it yourself with a Spectrum Gel Coat repair kit. Comes color matched and is very easy to do. If you've ever done any bondo work or drywall repair, it's pretty much the same. $30 for a jar (it might take 2 jars for your repair) and $10 in assorted sandpaper...
The price of new boats seems to have skyrocketed over the last several years. This is pricing a lot of us out of the market for a new boat and is creating a strong demand for good condition used boats. Especially the higher end boats. This is pushing the price of used boats higher and higher...
The original owner of my boat warned me to let off the hatch switch (when closing) just before it gets to it's fully down position. He said if it is allowed to go all the way down, it has a tendency to blow the fuse. I wonder if this might be happening to you, and that the dead battery is just...
Pics are your best friend when asking a question like that. There are basically 2 types of heads used. One is just the typical port-a-potty where you have a tank of water as part of the unit and must manually pump the water into the bowl and pull the handle to open the "trap door". You may or...
I think what paulswagelock is saying is that, once the switch is turned on, the pump will run long enough to build pressure in the line. Once the pressure has been built up, the pump will automatically shut off. If you then turn on the faucet, the pump detects a drop in pressure and...
Any updates? I'm headed to the lake this weekend and would love to have the ability to get this annoyance corrected.
Thanks for any guidance you can provide!!
I know it is at the very rear of the ski locker. I had a stuck float switch and was able to slip my fingers under the board used to protect the pump and free up the float switch.
If you get a chance, can you snap a pic of where this wire is located? Or even how you determined which wire it is. I have a similar issue and wondering if you've found the culprit... I likely won't be able to get to my boat until Labor Day, so I'd like to have a plan to check it once I get...
I have a 170+ piece Craftsman tool kit that I keep under the hatch. I also have a smaller plastic utility box that stores various pliers, tape, fasteners, zip ties, etc. that I keep in the storage area in front of the helm. Also keep a very sharp knife stored in the glove box in the head door.
I think those are for use with the bimini, not with the sports arch. I just had a thought that maybe, instead of connecting it to the fiberglass, make it long enough to wrap over the top and make a pocket to slip over the back of the sports arch. Add access holes for the anchor light and "ski...
I put this question out a couple of years ago. Haven't done anything yet, but this past, VERY RAINY, weekend made me think about it a bit more. Has anyone made a front connector for the sports arch? If so, how was it connected to the sports arch?
I've been getting a System Fault message on my SmartCraft gauge for about a year. It shows as a Trim Position Sensor fault when I scroll through the messages. I took it in last fall to have it checked and my mechanic said my alternator wasn't putting out enough voltage (12.5 volts) and causing...
I replaced mine with this one. It looked like an exact replacement size and shape wise, but the connections were slightly different and I had to make a couple of jumper wires for it.
