we have the same boat on the same lake! did you find a canvas solution? I had one built custom 12 years ago, but I am in an uncovered slip and time to do it again...thanks!
I just ordered some cheap LED's. very basic wiring. they may not last, but at the price they give off MUCH BETTER lighting than the factory incandescent. 2 years installed without issue and barely a battery drain if they accidentally get bumped "ON" from the switch at the transom...
I bought my boat as a total project so I have removed just about everything on it at one point...
I don't know that you want to get into it, but it would be a perfect time to reupholster and replace all of the rotten wood in the seat bases. That's what I had to do.
You need to remove the bottom cushion and it is screwed in from the bottom. you have to remove the seat to get it off. if you remove the bolt from the electric ram that moves the seat it should slide all the way forward and disengage from the slides. Really a 2 person job because it is HEAVY.
you need to pull the floor storage box out from the floor in front of the transom. The drain hoses for the box will make it difficult to maneuver but on mine you can lift it out far enough to get it to sit on the floor. You should be able to access behind it to secure bolts from that area. It’s...
...and NOW we are thinking about selling her. we have had it for over 10 years and the kids have outgrown it. One left for college and the other has very little interest in spending weekends at a time on it. it came from St Simons GA where it spent the first 10 years of its life in brackish...
i had to do both portlights this spring. kinda a PITA. I bought the seal kits from MMI Marine and probably overpaid at $104, BUT it was a perfect fit and came with new screens. a new window will run you $300-400.
removing the window is a real pain. the factory used sheet metal nuts to...
Happy new year all!
Replaced the old fluorescent overhead lights in the cabin this weekend with “waterproof” LED strip lights I found on Amazon. What a difference!

Also: saw Kevin’s post about flooring. I wanted to...
The fresh water holding tank is located under the cabin floor. to access it you have to remove the staircase and the carpet if you need to replace the tank. The fresh water pump is located on top of the hot water heater in the engine room.
Also did the wiper motors with the same sealant. Was getting water around the 120V lights in the ceiling of the cabin and traced to the mounts for the wiper motors.
It's actually a rubber/plastic. Mine is a 1999, but believe the windshields are all the same for our models (so long as you don't have a hardtop or radar arch delete in which case you would probably need 1-2' more).
If you are referring to the insert to cover the screws heads at the base of the exterior:
Taylor Made part #8349030 and currently $3.51/foot and $10 shipping. I bought 28 feet and had about 1' left over. that was 9 years ago and it has already shrank again, but reached out in March of 2021...
Thanks, Joey! Like I have said before I feel like a HACK when compared to what I've seen others do. Found a few other projects to address along the way: shower drain was leaking (a nightmare to access and can only if the A/C unit is removed), fixed the leaking hatch and wiper motors by removing...
