Does anyone have the size of the bench seat that folds down in a 1988 Sea Ray Weekender 300? My boat came without and my next project is to recreat the bench seat. I need the dimensions, or, if anyone knows where I might be able to pick one up, that would be useful as well.
Thank You
Problem solved. Battery issue. Wish I could have you guys down for a beer for the thousands this forum has saved me in repairs not done in the boatyard.
this forum is truly great!!!
Yes - choked out =stopped running.
1 battery new, 1 battery unknown as I just bought the boat a few weeks ago.
it has been plugged in to shore power the last week, so they should be charged.
thank you
Weird occurance tonight. Started port engine - ran fine, nothing in the starboard battery so I used the emergency start switch to parallel the batteries. Starboard engine would run for a short time then choke out. Had no problems with the batteries till I worked on the dashboard panel. Sounds...
Restoring my older 300, and just wondered if anyone has any ideas on how to restore that faded burgundy dash. Is it paintable, if so what type of paint did you use?
is there a cleaner that will get that faded look restored?
some time ago I aquired a Sea Ray Navigator II unit. I dont have the power cord for it. Is this thing worth anything, or is it best used as a stern anchor? Thinking of putting it on craigslist, but I have no idea what to ask.
Thanks for getting back with me guys. I only have to go about 35 miles, so I was just getting an idea of how much fuel to add. Previous owner stored it close to Empty, and I just have to run it up to the marina for some repairs.
1988 Weekender 300 with twin 5.7 Mercruisers direct drive. What gals./hr fuel burn rate will I be looking at roughly? Have to bring it back on the water, and just wondered what to expect. I realize every boat is different, just looking for a rough estimate.
Got it. Thank you. Looks like I have to rebuild the seat bottom and slide mounts. Love these old sea rays, but every old bench seat I've had has been rotted. Rest of the boat is solid, but I see now that at one time it had a back bench seat. I assume that rotted too
Anyone have a picture of a properly mounted driver seat for a 1988 weekender 300 ? Project boat fun, but this seat is making me crazy. There is a slide in bracket mounted to the side, and the lower part of the seat is not mounted at all. This doesn't seem right, but it have nothing to go from...
Interesting that my boat has done this a couple of times now. Once planed out and running (everything is fine) suddenly the boat wants to lean to the right and pull to the right. Slow down and all is good. Everything runs fine, and no probs to speak of, just freaks my wife out a little. Is this...
Great area in Muskegon is inside the Breakwater "arms" on the south side. Large area of flat calm water anywhere from 4-10 feet deep. Done that many times. In there you are not blocking channel or shipping lanes. Do remember to run your all around white light from dusk to dawn to stay legal. Enjoy!
