    Are these OE lights replaceable?

This is the OE fender clearance marker on a 2011 Shorelander trailer. Hanna's trailer supply has the light but says nothing about the type of wiring. I don't even see how the thing attached. I may end up just having to getting aftermarket and cutting the plugs off by I prefer the look of OE.

    Shorelander leaf spring help

I've just replaced the leafs on my 2011 shorelander trailer and the hook end sits to far back. The old ones measure at 26 1/4 and I thought that's what I ordered. I ordered a second set from etrailer and they are to long as well. They are 5 leaf 3000#. The only place I've found them by part...

    Painted gasket surface

Just got my new manifolds and risers today and getting ready to install. All the gasket surfaces are painted and the company I bought from said they go on as such. I spoke with a merc rep who said the same. I'm confused though because every video I've seen they have sanded down the gasket...

    Mercury changed spark plugs?

I've got my manifolds off so I decided to change spark plugs.I looked up the part number on Mercs website when ordering various parts. The plugs sent to me were ACDelco#MR43LTS. The plugs I pulled were ACDelco 41-101, Iridium plugs. I called Merc and they said that was correct and the current...

    Manifold assesssment

Finally pulled my manifolds and risers off. The risers were easy enough to see they were pretty bad. My question is with the manifold and spacer shown(the other manifold looks identical really). The water ports don't look to bad to me but this is the first pair i've seen. So how do they look...

    Help with ordering manifold kits/parts

Found some hot spots on my exhaust system the day(up to 185 deg) temp never ran hot tho?? and guess it's time to change the manifolds/risers. Problem i'm having is finding the correct kit, or even parts for that matter. It's a 2011 4.3l. Went to Mercurys website and pulled all the part numbers...

    Stumped on battery choice

It's time to replace my starting battery and am experiencing information overload! I just added a group 31 die hard AGM platinum for the electronics and would like to replace the starting battery with an AGM as well and add a tender. Any recs on a good group 27 AGM starting battery, around $200...

    Fuse question for radio remote

Im installing a Kenwood direct wire helm remote. The remote includes a 1amp inline fuse. The fuse block where I'll get power is directly behind where the remote will be. The smallest available open circuit is a 3amp acc. Do I keep both fuses? I know the remote needs the lower amperage fuse but...

    First big trailer service

Have a 2011 Shorelander trailer and i'm getting ready to replace springs, hubs/rotors, bearings and calipers. I bought OE UFP DB-35 calipers and they came pre-assembled with pads. Are there any adjustments that need to be made or just attach the brake lines and bleed them? Also, they're sold as...

    Bee poop?

Anybody else have a problem with this? I like to leave my boat opened up and let it air out after use. I always find yellow dots everywhere, especially on the white vinyl! I'm told it's bee poop and when you wipe it off you may as well have just poored yellow mustard on it. Anybody find the...

    185/205 amp location

After tirelessly searching the forum I still have not found much info on where to put an amp on a 185. I was suprised to see alot actually put it in the engine room. Does it not overheat in there? I've also seen several people put them under the helm of the early models, but the late models...

    Amp in 185sp

Adding an amp to a 2011 185sp. I've read conflicting opinions on how to wire it though. I planned on mounting it in the port side cubby behind the stereo and fishing the wires to the starboard side and using the power block. I think there is even an open fuse panel that says "amp". I read...

May have to leave boat in saltwater

Going to the the Keys for 5 days in August. The house we're staying at includes a slip fee for the 5 days. We plan on boating everyday, but, not sure if we can trailer it each day. I cringe at the thought of not being able to rinse and flush the engine/drive everyday. Is there major concern with...

    Alpha 1 Anode install question

I just replaced the factory anodes. The question I have is the factory anode behind the prop came right off and I could actually turn it around in circles. The anode I replaced actually took a little tapping from a mallet to seat flush and has a much tighter fit. The part numbers are stamped and...

    Corrosion Question w/pic

Reached 100 hours this weekend and was doing an inspection when I see this. What would cause one bolt to do this? This is a trailered boat, anodes are good. This is in the bilge on the transom if difficult to see.

Officially terrified to wax boat now!

After reading about a hundred threads on cleaning, polishing, and waxing im afraid to touch it!! I have a 2011 185sp and would like to get her ready for summer. This WAS my plan. I was going give it a good wash(as I always do) with some starbrite boat wash. I have some minor scratches at the bow...

    Rollers leaving a residue.

The yellow stock bow roller on my shorelander trailer is leaving like a wax build-up on the bow of my 185. Has anyone had better luck with a different type roller? Any recommendations on the best way to remove the buildup left on the bow? I thought about putting a bow plate there but haven't...
