Hey guys...I'm sure the hose from the sump to the tank is partially blocked with scum. I'm not sure how to clean it.
I saw a video where they put dishwasher soap in the tank. Would that leach into the hose?
any suggestions?
Thanks
Mark
Hey gang...
We took the roof pieces off of AMFM on Tuesday. I took them to a friend who has large washing machines.
He manufactures them and then sells to remediation companies and sports teams around the world. Many of the NFL and NHL teams have them to wash uniforms and equipment. Fire...
Hey folks...
I know that many of us have traded barbs, commented on his posts and enjoyed "Lolly Gaggin'" in general with Chris. He is a local guy here in Kelowna who was extremely active on this forum. He has a great sense of humour (Canadian spelling) and loves Searays.
I learned over the...
The Kelowna Sea Ray dealer Dockside Marine changed ownership last year. The new owner group moved the dealership from the north end of town to our marina. They've rebuilt the existing building and moved the lot out into the front parking lot. Nice job really.
But this is what the lot looks...
We sold our Thompson Santa Cruz after we bought the 370. The new owners are great people but they sorta disappeared at the beginning of the season.
Today, we saw why. They have completely redone AMFM2 including a rename.
The first set in brown and "Miss EM" are the new boat.
Enjoy!

I love being a boater. I would much rather spend my free time on board, tinkering, cleaning, fixing and just being around my fellow dockmates. If it wasn't for work...well you know.
Anyway, there are still other things that have to be done. With the weather we've been having, I admit I'm a...
So AMFM was launched yesterday. It was unexpected as the marina folks said it would be another couple of weeks. No biggie as we have changes of ownership happening (our local Sea Ray dealer is taking over service at the marina). I was going to do anti foul paint, but it really doesn't need it...
I completed a complete re-do of televisions on our 370 last fall. I pulled the old tv/vcr combo and after market flatscreen with dvd. My local install guy designed the whole thing himself.
The story complete with pics is on my blog at http://www.burleyboating.com/?p=287
I hope you enjoy...
Hey folks...
Last boating season turned out to be a pretty crummy one for Janet and I. I laid off on blogging because...well maybe I was bitter? Who knows?
Anyway, a new season is upon us and I've written a new blog about why last year wasn't so great. I hope you enjoy...
The old tv/dvd combo unit that came with our 95 370 when we bought her last year didn't exactly perform well. It was movable in that we could lift it off the mount in the master cabin up front and move to a mount on the port side radar arch for viewing in the cockpit. The flatscreen was...
So, my day was fun.
Janet and I did our pre-cruise shopping and headed to the boat. We got stuff at the usual stores and got to the dock and put it all away. I took down the sides. I cleaned the clear as I went.
Last up were the windshield pieces. As I stepped over the two pieces to grab...
Like everyone we looked all over for decent sheets to fit the 6 sided mattress in the forward berth. The odd shape made for sheets pulling out all last season, our first with the 370.
I found Sheex sheets online. These are made of a gorgeous breathable material much like athletic wear. They're...
Like everybody, my challenge has always been keeping the swim platform clean. It's truly a losing battle. There isn't a product out there, wax or cleaner, that keeps a swim platform clean.
We decided to put this Marine matting on our swim platform and the deck below the transom "trunk" to...
My best friend's wife passed away yesterday after a 4 month battle with cancer. This is having a profound affect on me. Susan was only 50 and leaves behind my buddy and their 3 kids ranging from 14 to 21.
It occurs to me that living each day as if its your last is a very valid way to look at...
Here's a beautiful 1st weekend of fall morning. Nice night at the marina and today is shaping up to be a great day for cruising with temps in the high 70s.

Hey gang...
We needed to replace our canvas on our 95 370 DA as it had original when we purchased the boat this spring. It was pretty leaky and that didn't help the cause with the Admiral! After all, new cockpit carpets are supposed to last a while and they were getting soaked through the...
So for the past few weeks, when getting to the boat, we've noticed that the power had gone off and back on. The indication is the microwave clock which would have no time on it.
There have been a few wind storms and threats of thunderstorms over the same time period so I put it down to a power...
I'm off this week and enjoying time at the marina after a busy weekend on the water. My canvas guy is also working in the new top.
But this morning my phone rang and it was my daughter at about 6am. "Dad! The marina's on fire!". I sat bolt upright as she said the gas dock was in flames. Out of...
Great days on Okanagan Lake!
Over the past couple of weekends, we've had great weather and good times on the lake. Today was exceptionally HOT! We hit 38celcious today...that's high 90's F. Here's some pics...
