Just finished pulling off my manifolds, riser and elbows on my port motor. When I was pulling the hose off the bottom of the manifold, it felt crunchy and when I pulled it off it looks like flakes of copper coming out. What does this mean? 1998 350 MPI closed cooling / vdrives

One more thing, should I leave those water lift mufflers filled with that antifreeze or drain them down again now that I've run it through the whole raw water side? They have to hold a gallon or two of antifreeze in there.
