When we are at the dock and have our dock side water hooked up, water begins to leak out of the fresh water inlet (cap) on the side of the boat. It also appears that our fresh water tank is gaining water when the dock side water is turned on? Furthermore, water is somehow leaking in the bilge...
For us there was no questions the 290 - the layout for a family of 4 couldn't be beat. I wouldn't worry about replacement parts - they are all the same - not much different between the 280 and 380. It is all about the feel.
I am considering going all the way out to the swim platform. I am however concerned that it may get too hot and fade. I got a price on a high quality marine carpet and then synthetic. The synthetic teak is not that much more expensive if you compare sq. ft.
I understand why people want a thruster - on any boat - but let us remember it is 29 foot with twin screws - many of them bravo 3s. Work on your boat handling during low peak times - and pocket the money. Let me add this for the discussion . . . why do you think Sea Ray didn't offer it as an...
Yes, like Bay Bs, we have the gauges but the read out is small and scrolls info - so at times is frustrating. I want to say - but not sure - the vessel view gauge is about $1K. It has to be an easy hook up if we already have the smart gauges???
I switched all the bulbs topside with blue led. I have a slightly newer boat - so it maybe different but mine was very easy. Take your old bulb to any marine store and match it up with a led replacement. The cost is minimal - less than $30.
Has anyone experienced their 290 DA leaning slightly to the starboard side? I am talking just by a few degrees but enough that it is obvious by looking at it (it becomes more obvious at the fixed docks at high tide). No water in bilge. Holding tank 1/2 full. Nothing unusual in terms of gear...
jimjag. There is a door with screen for a 290 DA on ebay. They are asking $2,700 obo. I can tell you - being not far from you geographically, that we use ours at best 3 weekends a year. You may find you will use it more than us . . . but my two cents - not worth the trouble.
