Dave, I have the same problem right now with mine. I have eliminated the washing and leaks from the windows and the rails as a source. The fresh water appears to be the source of the problem. I will be interested to see if you can find the fix. So far nothing I have tried works. Check your...
Sorry about that, we were out boating all weekend. Should be room now. Thanks in advance. Any help will be apprecitated. Got to love the Thanksgiving Weekend cruises.
MM spoke to Searay and they are saying they never heard of this before. We checked with your MM dealer and they didn't know either but were looking into it. Do you have any more details that I can share with them to narrow their focus?
Well, I sent MM the good news this morning so we will see how that works out. There are so many things that there are solutions for and you would hope the dealer would at least have a clue as to some of the problems you encounter. I guess if you own a Sea Ray its DYI boating; and of course all...
This is exactly the problem!!!!! Everytime I wash the boat I end up with a pool of blood around the bench seat on the deck. Marine Max told me there was nothing they could do.
My helm bench seat leaks stained water everytime I clean the boat. I think it comes from some wood that is used to support the bottom of the bench. Has anyone figured out how to fix this?
Get the better stuff. As someone said it cost about $575 for two pieces. They sell the SS snaps you need, just count the number you have now and add it to the order form. They will send you the tool to install them and you just send it back when you are done. They make it real easy.
Buying a used trailer is a recipe for buying a headache. New trailers are fairly reasonable. I think you should be able to get a dual axle 10,000lbs trailer for about $3500 to $4500. I would get torsion axles and not leaf springs. Aluminum frame with a good set of disk brakes.
The fall boating season just started. Flat seas all week. Stayed on the hook for the first time since last spring. Days 85 degrees, nights 65, water
78 degrees, it doesn't get much better.
I just put in new batteries does that count?
I flew through Grand Rapids in May and it was a nightmare. I usually don't fly commercial so I don't know if my experience is normal. The Delta folks there were confused lazy stupid rude ignorant and lacked common sense. This resulted in lines with 150 people standing there watching the time...
What size fenders are you using? I went to a little bigger size to avoid the problem you are talking about. The big thing with the smaller boats is to manage the wind because you tend to get blown all over. I tie fenders to straddle the rubrail before I get to the dock and adjust to the dock...
I have suffered with this problem for four years. I finally took the step out to expose the sump pump. (There are only 4 screws.) I have had it "fixed" on more occasions that I care to recount. So I took out the old unit and to my surprise I found that the MM boys tried to use electrical tape...
It's all anyone talks about on the gulf coast. We have turtles and other sea animals floating up dead. No cause is given yet but the chemical dispersants has been mentioned. I few globs of oil have shown up in nearby waters but nothing confirmed as to the source.
If the oil hits the west...
With that many hours hopefully the manifolds have been changed out at least once maybe twice. Run a compression test. Do what Hampton said.
Really, there are alot of maintenance issues in saltwater that you don't have in freshwater. I would think in this market you could find a good price...
