    Hole in the Water Club

Well I finally got around to fixing the windlass foot switch and my fears were confirmed, seized up motor. So the admiral passed the anchor drills the previous weekend so as long as her motor doesn't....... I do have a question though; A/c unit is a reverse heat unit too. The a/C part runs...

    Red LEDs vs. Blue LEDs

I changed out my cockpit lights and the three under the radar arch from the old white to red/white/off switched led lights. My bud who has his boat down the pier went with all blue. What we found this weekend was pretty cool and wanted to hear it from the forum. The blue led lights were...

    Hole in the Water Club

I haven't started to trouble shoot it exclusively but I am almost certain it's the foot switch since there is zero action to it. Yeah that bow.....I hope to get some more buffing on Sunday since I have to work Friday and Saturday but hey, where would the fun be if I didn't have anything to do...

    Hole in the Water Club

Wow, didn't realize it had been so long since I posted an update. Truth be known I had to cancel the electric for a month, cable and phone (home and cell) service so I could make a payment to the marina for all the work they have been doing. One blower motor burned up, thanks to the nesting...

    Canvas washing

I have been asking around and can't get the question answered, no one seems to really know. So I ask the panel: Can you wash your canvas in an industrial type washing machine and if so using what detergent? I do understand after washing it is always a good idea to treat with water proofing...

    Non skid, no shine ?

My 88 EC is new to us and is need of some serious help on the upper deck. I have already scrubbed and am now in the process of removing as much oxidation as possible. I don't want to wax the non skid but am looking for that shine we all like to see. Woodys Wax looks like it might be the...

    Pump out

This is my first year with my EC and I really need to pump out the holding tank as it is full. The marina hasn't turned the pump out pump back on but say it will be in service this week. Is there a way to deodorize and really "clean" the inside of the holding tank? :smt089

    Sediment in the water filter

First season, found some well, a lot of sediment, sand looking stuff in the screen just prior to the water pump. I cleaned this bad boy at least four times and still have sediment accumulating after flowing It. Is there a quick fix? I am not going to be drinking this water but I don't want it...

    Boat Watching

I love boat watching but I always seem to find those boats that carry the most bikinis and find them almost mind altering. I tried last year to venture to other areas to "scope" and yeah it kept happening over and over. I would always wind up where all those bikinis were on the boats...

    Boat name poll

My current boat's name is "Get Over It". The wife and I are trying to decide if we want to rename it to "Anita Break II ". Her name is Anita and our last boat was named Anita Break. Am I tempting the water gods? What's your vote ?

    Web Site Name

Lose the hyphens and keep it simple. Trying to explain how to insert symbols will not only confuse but frustrate those not so savy Internet users. My pick is "freedom cruiser.com". Just a little friendly suggestion, good luck.

    It's bugging me

As we have had a mild winter here in the mid Atlantic the bug population is sure to explode. I have heard conversations saying the bug zappers actually lure bugs from a distant due to its blue lights. It's not a wise idea to burn candles on boats, and the sprays sometime run me away. So what...

    Rub rail

Not sure what kind of rub rail is on there now, was told it could be leaking and to consider replacing it I do have water marks on the interior of the cabin either coming from the bow rail mounts or the rub rail.

    Rub rail

Having no idea on whether I can do this or shoul I hire it out, how do you replace your rub rail and what kind of challenges can I expect? Should I just get the beer and hire a professional to do it ? :smt100
